I doubt it. If you were GM, you would be sitting at home with your roster made up of rejected players whom you signed for the veteran's minimum because they were the only ones desperate enough to play for your team. No other GM in the league would take you seriously and deal with you and your one-sided fantasy trades.
firstly i dont understand the simile. secondly, im not in favor of trading calderon in the first place, it just seemed by everyone elses posts that they did not want calderon. i was simply saying (agreeing with you by the way) that telfair was not the best value for calderon
your verbose rants only prove that u have way too much time on your hands. referring to parker as "unbelievably clutch" has to be some kind of perverted joke; raptor nation is not impressed. parker hasnt been clutch since he was playing his little sister candace in the family backyard. ask any raptor fan and they will tell u that parker takes the most ill advised shots of any dude on the team. moreover, he's steadily declined in all facets of the game, particularly on the defensive end. i didnt even take the time to read your paragraph in defense of felton but i will tell u according to published reports the bobcats were trying to fervently trade felton all season and even agreed in principle to a trade but decided against it after augustin's injury. furthermore, the bobcats have no intention of resigning him, which means their basketball staff shares my appraisal of the player. stop defending telfair- he's a playground legend who will only be remembered for having a documentary made about him and being related to starberry. he's a nobody and will always be relegated to "what could have been status". the minny team which u so admire was a nbdl all star team after al jefferson went down. nick young can be an offensive spark plug off the bench but he's still terribly inconsistent and would represent a gamble. and his porous defense would only hurt a back court desperate for defense. btw, the raptors are stacked with combo guards, i.e. banks and doubly. hence, nick young at his best would amount to a duplication of an already existing asset. i watch lots of basketball but i also make money, fuck, enjoy the company of my family and friends, edify myself on other subjects; its basically called living a fulfilled, complete life. get a life kid!!!
Your replies to my verbose rants only prove that you have way too much time on your hands. You saying Parker is not clutch further proves my point that you don't watch basketball at all. Raptors don't give him much of a chance to take these shots since they get blown out all the time, but when you need a final shot, I'd feel pretty comfortable giving him the shot. Yes, he has declined. So what? It's not like I'm telling you to give him a 6 year contract and asking him to be the focal point of the team. He's still a decent role player, and an above average defender. You're bitching about how Telfair can't defend and how Gomes can't defend (which is untrue by the way), then what's so bad about Parker? He's no Ron Artest, but he's still pretty decent. Maybe you should read my paragraph about Felton, because then you'd know why he was being shopped. Or maybe you did read it, but your knowledge is so limited you could not build a coherent rebuttal. Minnesota is far from being an NBDL All-star team. Tell me honestly that if they disbanded their team right now, GMs would not try to obtain Gomes, Foye, Love, Brewer, Miller and Smith. The fact that you think Minnesota is that bad only shows how ignorant you really are. Again, I'd like to reiterate the fact that Telfair would be strictly a backup point guard. It baffles me how you can't seem to process what I'm saying. Compare Telfair to what the Raptors have now. Would you seriously take Roko over him? My defense of Telfair is that he is a decent role player, not that he's going to become the next Tim Hardaway. Stop thinking that I'm saying everyone is an All-star. Thank God you brought up Banks and Douby. Douby was let go by the Kings, the worst team in the NBA. Banks was let go by Miami, who last year was the worst team in the NBA. What makes you think that these two people who are rejects from the worst possible situation can be better than Nick Young? Banks is a combo guard because he can't shoot, not because he has the ability to play both positions. Douby is a combo guard because he can't dribble, not because he can play both positions. Nick Young would be a swingman, not a combo guard. Hopefully even with your limited basketball knowledge you can still understand the difference. And last time I checked, a lot of the most heralded sixth men recently didn't play a lick of defense either. Terry, J.R. Smith, Barbosa? When you go to your bench, you're bound to lose quality, unless you stock Ginobili on your bench, so what's the big deal? This might come as a surprise to you, but I too have a life. Just because I occasionally post here doesn't mean I spend all my time here. Infact, I normally don't even leave very long posts but I felt this could be a good discussion topic, but some ignorant fool came in disrespecting anyone who added input into this honest discussion. It's fun to see you accusing me of having no life when you yourself know nothing about me, and at the same time you have replied post-for-post. It's sad to see all the anger bottled up in you and your only form of release is to come on message boards and be an enormous prick. What, working at McDonald's isn't good enough for you? Well, then maybe you should've paid attention in class and learned to spell, then maybe you can get a real job.
dude look at the sheer volume of your posts- u have had 9 separate posts in the thread created by myself. i think shape should sue u for using up valuable bandwidth
Nice to see that you've stopped replying to my points and have resorted to a dimwitted comment in an attempt to be funny. Humour doesn't make you seem any less stupid. I must applaud you though, smart of you to cut your losses now rather than continuing your thoughtless antics.
guys i still want to hear your three point plans!!! dont be turned away by shankyoass' attempt to hijack the thread. i speak for all of raptor nation when i say "NO" to telfair, parker and felton
WOW, what a team minus kapono i would rather get Chris anderson or mike miller for that piece of shit
