Re: WCF: Lakers vs. Nuggets (Series tied 1-1) I'm fine with Fisher starting, but at least play him less minutes and give more to Shannon. From that story, looks like Bynum was REALLY pissed and that Gasol seems to have had a hit on his confidence. But still, I believe that LA will win this one, but for that to happen, everyone we have really needs to play with intensity for the whole 48, as what has been overstated throughout the playoffs. Phil made a huge mistake of benching Kobe in the 4th too. The deficit became from 1 to 5 in that 99 second span.
Re: WCF: Lakers vs. Nuggets (Series tied 1-1) Nice graphics anique_24! I don't blame Bynum for being frustrated. He had an impact in the 1st quarter and was beating Nene down the court for post position. He had the one dunk from Fisher's halfcourt pass and missed a couple of bunnies. He clearly bothered Denver in the paint when they tried attacking the rim. I think Melo started the game off 1 for 6 with Drew in there. There's a disconnect between him and PJax which needs to be repaired ASAP. PJax gave Kobe the same type of treatment early in his career. Remember all the drama he caused? Hopefully one of the veterans can reach out to Drew and let him know this team needs him. Hopefully that encouragement comes from Kobe. He's been in Drew's position before and giving him a pep talk can light a fire inside Drew. We've seen the numbers Drew can put up in 32 minutes of play. He was beasting it right before his injury. He's only averaging 16MPG in the playoffs, he needs at least 25 mins. Having Drew out there also takes the physical pressure off Gasol. It's easier for Gasol to grab rebounds with Drew boxing guys out of the paint and throwing bodies around. Kenyon Martin has been cheap shotting Gasol in the first two games. In the last game he actually backed Gasol right into the cameras after Denver got a defensive rebound and started a fastbreak. To Gasol's credit he got up and sprinted down the court, but no foul was called on Martin and no Laker stepped up to get into Martin's face about it. I'd love to see Fisher steam roll Martin on his ass in Game 3. Our guards really need to step up in this series mainly Fisher & Sasha, otherwise they need to be on the bench.
Re: WCF: Lakers vs. Nuggets (Series tied 1-1) That would be huge if Fish does the same thing to K-Mart he did to Scola.
Re: WCF: Lakers vs. Nuggets (Series tied 1-1) Thanks Shape! I made 'em! lol Anyways, there seems to have been a rift between Bynum and Phil, and Phil is being too critical of Bynum whereas he tolerates the mistakes made by Luke and Fisher. Honestly, we said at the start of the season that Bynum might just be the missing piece we had to win the title, it's shaping up to be that way, but it's not gonna happen if Phil goes on vendettas like this. I hope Bynum gets around 24-28 minutes in the remaining games.
Re: WCF: Lakers vs. Nuggets (Series tied 1-1) Down two after one quarter. I have a feeling that this will be the game Sasha explodes. He's gonna score 50.
Re: WCF: Lakers vs. Nuggets (Series tied 1-1) Memo to the broadcasters: STOP FUCKING TALKING ABOUT LEBRON, WE'VE ALL SEEN THE FUCKING SHOT 200 TIMES ALREADY.
Re: WCF: Lakers vs. Nuggets (Series tied 1-1) Sasha should get zero minutes, Phil is in a slump. Didn't like the pace when he was in, or the jacking up of the three.
Re: WCF: Lakers vs. Nuggets (Series tied 1-1) We're 7-15 on free throws We're doing everything we possibly can to lose this game.
Re: WCF: Lakers vs. Nuggets (Series tied 1-1) Lakers were down 8 with 27.9 left in the second quarter but scored four points in under 20 seconds.
Re: WCF: Lakers vs. Nuggets (Series tied 1-1) Ariza still not getting enough time, give him Sasha's minutes.
Re: WCF: Lakers vs. Nuggets (Series tied 1-1) Right now we need to hit our free throws, but also stop letting Andersen get those easy buckets in transition that was some terrible D.
Re: WCF: Lakers vs. Nuggets (Series tied 1-1) The Nuggets are not in a flow aside from a couple of guys. I want to see some better D on Andersen you don't let him continue to beat you on slashes to the bucket and open layups.
