They can as well as Biedrins! Biedrins is too small to play C but makes up for it in Nelson's scrambling system by blocking shots and rebounding (at which, like Andersen and A. Randolph, he is very good). I don't imagine Biedrins defending against Yao, Bynum, Oden, Gasol, Big Z or any strong player in the post would be very pretty though. The better the Warriors get, the smaller Biedrins' role will be. He's a novelty player.

Does anyone know how to type out the sounds that Charlie Brown's teachers made?

    Something like "wah-wah-WAH-waah" ?

God forbid if the Lakers got Rip they'd have to give him some of Fisher, Sasha, or Farmar's minutes. :dunno:

Outside of Kobe, the Lakers don't really have a backcourt. Their depth currently is their skilled bigs.

True, Bynum is coming off an injury, but it doesn't excuse him for being a whiny bitch to the media about wanting more PT. The playoffs are not the time or the place to be trying to rock the boat. He can handle that business behind closed doors.

Why does he need to be excused from being a whiny bitch? One man's whiny bitch is another man's not being a total pussy.

I perfer Bigs who are mobile and defend the paint well, so I like Bynum, Biedrins, and most of all Greg. Like a lot of other players, they all seem to perform better when they aren't coming off an injury. Also, the sky is blue and the clock stops when the whistle is blown.

Don't get me wrong, I love Greg. But it was his own fault that he didn't get the minutes that Biedrins got due to his excessive fouling. As soon as Greg learns to not foul, he will be money in the bank.

Dang. I don't know that I've ever experienced toilet paper that "leaves pieces behind."

    Well, there was John Nash....

    Hello darkness, my old friend
I agree it was his fault, due to fouling. That's why I agreed that Biedrins was better in 2008-09. But when Oden was actually on the floor, he was pretty close to Biedrins.

Greg Oden, age 21, fouls per 36 minutes: 6.5

Andris Biedrins, age 19 (his 2nd season. I'm ignoring his rookie season because he played so few minutes): 6.8
since then, he's been around 4.6

I know that Oden was older, but given the circumstances with his injury and all, they're fairly comparable. I wouldn't be surprised if Oden's foul rate dropped by 1 per game just because he's no longer whistled for rookie calls. Obviously, Oden still has some problems with foul trouble. Andris Biedrins' situation gives us some hope though that he'll manage to stop fouling so much after his rookie season.
