Tevez: Manchester United Might Have Won Champions League If I'd Started

Carlos Tevez has opined that Manchester United could have beaten Barcelona in the Champions League final if he had been in the starting XI.

The Argentina international replaced Anderson at half-time, but with la Blaugrana already a goal to the good, he was unable to lead the Red Devils to glory and they eventually slumped to a 2-0 defeat.

But the forward has hinted that United would have been a more attack-minded side if he had begun the match and he feels that would have worked in their favour.

"I wanted to play in the starting line-up in Rome but that decision was down to the coach," Tevez is quoted as saying by The Daily Mirror.

"But with a strategy more attacking in the first minute then perhaps the result would have been different."

The 25-year-old also intimated that it may be time for him to move on from Old Trafford, regardless of whether United are finally ready to pay his £25.5 million asking-price, as he has become frustrated with his limited playing time.

"It has not been a good time for me because I believe that I should have played more minutes," Tevez added.

"My future will now be decided. My agents are negotiating and I am waiting to hear some news."

    Colonel Ronan Continue...?

This seems like a defiant article so perhaps he's expecting to leave?
