Despite a long wooing period which included an appearance at a UFC PPV, training sessions with Randy Couture, and a deep bromance with Dana White, gold medal winning Judoka Satoshi Ishii has decided to sign with Sengoku.

In the long run this is probably a better choice for him. He starts off his career in a small org and he can work his way up, I am sure down the road the UFC will still be interested in him if he can perform.

the only problem is, Japanese orgs tend to take their hero's and toss them in the deep end. Sengoku is without a major TV deal and signing Ishii is a big thing for the Org. So they'll need him to be in the main event or 2nd last fight in order to garner more interest in their cards and that may mean facing know fighters too.
