Lol. Bynum is a scrub, if the Lakers gonna win, it's gonna be despite Howard owning gasol/bynum.

I think the Eastern Conference was actually better this year.

    Can they win? Absolutely

    Will they win? Most likely

    I got Magic in 6.

I'll have to pray a little harder then. ;)

Great series it'll seem like, the Magic have been playing well.

It's pretty hard to care. You've got to hate the Lakers, of course, but Dwight Howard is almost equally hateable. I don't think I'll be watching. The only possible good scenario would be if either of Bryant or Howard went down and then his team won without him. THAT would be good.

Interesting question: who gets finals MVP? Obviously if Orlando wins, they'll give it to Howard, and if LA wins it's Kobe's. But who will really deserve it? For most of the playoffs Turkoglu has been more important for the Magic and Gasol has been the Lakers' most important player.

I really don't know how you can say that, Kobe has easily been more impressive. There hasn't been a round where I thought Gasol was better, especially in the last two series. Now if Pau were to win the Finals MVP trophy for whatever reason, props to him I'll congratulate him. It isn't about individual awards right now.

If they're smart, they'll bring him off the bench. Don't disrupt what you already have going by plugging Nelson into the starting lineup... make him a supersub.

I think Orlando stands a pretty good chance to win this (they match with LA very well), but I have hard picking them to win in 6 or 7, because that would mean they would have to win the clinching game of the NBA Finals in LA, which I just can't see happening. But I also have a hard time picking Orlando in 4 or 5 (i.e. winning it on their floor), simply because I don't know if I see that kind of dominance by them over the Lakers.

You certainly hate Dwight Howard, don't you. But I do agree that Turkoglu has been just as important to them as Howard. Hedo's been underrated all year long, and should've gone to the All-Star game instead of Rashard I thought.

Kinda. It's the smugness. He really believes he's on a par with LeBron. Wonder if LeBron could effectively be neutralized by Kendrick Perkins?

Plus, apparently one of his youthful goals was to get a crucifix included in the NBA symbol. Wonder what Jordan Formar would feel about that? Or his own teammate Hedo Turkoglu?

If Howard plays every game like he did in game 6, LA is in deep shit.

Unfortunately, that is the best Howard has ever played in the playoffs by far.

I think it is going to be a hard fought series and really don't know who is going to take it. I am rooting for the Magic in 6, but I wouldn't bet on it.

He is on par with LeBron, in fact he just sent LeBron on a fishing trip. In terms of scoring and passing? Nope, but in terms of being an NBA Badass Dwight Howard has it.

As for the religion stuff, who cares it is a professional athlete. It's not like the guy is leading an anti Jewish or Islam campaign.

Btw there is an ad for ChristianMingle.com on the top of this page right now, I wonder how you feel about that.

Maybe this site needs to add the jewishmixer.com and Islamicvirginquest.com

    ??? "NBA Badass"?

So you'd be fine if a Muslim NBA player suggested the star and crescent as part of the NBA logo?

    Wonder away.

??? Is that funny? There's such a fine line between clever and stupid.

I am actually a big fan of Howard. Dude is a BEAST! He does have cockiness, but not that smug, asshat style in my opinion. Looks like he genuinly enjoys playing the game and does it very well.

    GO Orlando!!! :ghoti:

    oh yeah...... TO must GO!!

Why not root for the Magic in 4? Now THAT would be fun.
