Yeah they definetely need a shooting guard that can shoot from outside. Than it would all work well with starting Harris.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>C-Diop/DampierPF-Dirk/PowellSF-Howard/StackhouseSG-Daniels/MarshallPG-Harris/????</div>If Terry signs,Diop/Dampier/PavelDirk/??/PowellHoward/Stackhouse/GriffTerry/Daniels/MarshallHarris/??/TerryIf Terry doesn't,Diop/Dampier/Benga/PavelDirk/??/PowellHoward/GriffDaniels/Stackhouse/MarshallHarris/??/??So looking those lineups, we need to fill backup pf(KVH goes), and another pg.On sg, were fine if Terry resigns, he fills our shooter role. If he doesn't, we may need to look for shooter at wing, and a good backup pg ie. Cassell, James, Claxton.

It would be nice to have Cassell and Terry so Terry can stay at the 2 guard position. The need for a shooter at the 2 is more important than the slight loss on defense. Actually Terry at the 2 keeps him away from having to guard some of the quick point guards in the league. Unless Terry has to guard Kobe Bryant I don't see it a problem. Anyways Kobe would probably be guarded by Harris or Howard.

Would you REALLY want Terry to leave?Remember, he's also a fan favorite, and besides that, he's a great playoff player.Remember that time when Dirk jumped up for the ball and found Terry for a trey?

you got to go with Jason Terry....besides the first month of the season he has really been going nuts scoring......trust me.....he is on my fantasy team and he is putting up some big numbers. Plus Sam Cassell looks like a damn alien.....and he doesnt have very many more years in the league....he did have a good season in Minnesota when they were first in the West tho.....

He shouldn't be a lock like people think he is.

Look, man, if we dropped him, that would be complete betrayal.

Harris is not ready to start, he's a very good player, and capable of starting in the future, but not now, and not to start next season. He should gets a few starts though, that's for sure.We should keep Jet if we can, we already know he fits the team, and knows the system, and is a capable second option to Dirk, I'm not sure Cassell is a very capable 2nd option.Bottom line is, the Mavs will keep Terry, as long as his price isn't just crazy high, but if we lose him, we have to get Cassell...and in that case and scenerio, I wouldn't be unhappy. What I'd be unhappy about is that we don't even try to keep Terry, and he goes and signs somewhere for like 5 mill a year, which he's totally worth, and then go and spend the same on Cassell to come here. Now if Terry wants close to 10 mill a year, than I could be happy going with Cassell for a year or two.

Yeah, good point, man, but Terry won't ask for that much.He loves Dallas. He even said his favorite color is Mavericks Blue.

Nobody is going to admit that they are planning to go to another team in the offseason. Did you expect Nash to go to Phoenix over Dallas? Money talks and probably that is where Terry is going to.

It depends on how much other teams are offering for him.If a team opens up big time for Terry, I really don't think noone will overpay for him, pay him what he's worth, but not overpay, then the Mavs probably won't pay for him.But like I said earlier, the Mavs will pay for him, as long as it isn't way over market value for him.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Look, man, if we dropped him, that would be complete betrayal.</div>That's up to him, and were not dropping him. The only thing that would piss me off is we let him go when we could have had a chance to trade him this year.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>What I'd be unhappy about is that we don't even try to keep Terry, and he goes and signs somewhere for like 5 mill a year, which he's totally worth, and then go and spend the same on Cassell to come here. Now if Terry wants close to 10 mill a year, than I could be happy going with Cassell for a year or two.</div>5 mil a year? That's a drastic paycut, face it, teams will offer him some money this year with his play the past 2 years in Dallas. He's probably the best guard on the marktet.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Yeah, good point, man, but Terry won't ask for that much.He loves Dallas. I doubt that has any say in his decision.

Alrite, guys, think about this...if he DOES leave, then he'll probably be so used to winning in Dallas that he can do well in other places.I'm pretty sure Diop, Howard, and Daniels will all stay here, but do you think Nowitzki could leave Dallas?

But this is about Terry, not Dirk, don't change the topic.

Lolz, sorry. Oh, about Terry, I meant he'd probably leave Dallas (if he did) thinking he'd be able to win fifty or sixty. The Mavs are so good, I wonder what the players take blessings for.
