With all of the talk about trades and the draft and moving up or moving out and using assets to go get guys it got me to thinking about the Blazers I would least like to have to play against us in the next 5-10 years.

For the sake of argument exclude any of the big three since they're not going anywhere (super unlikely at any rate). But of the remaining Blazers currently under contract (no votes for free agents like Stud Ruffin, Frye or Shavlik) who would you fear the most in another uniform and the least; you can explain if you like.

top three Blazers I fear seeing in another uniform:
    1. Bayless -- I still think he's going to be pretty good and I can only imagine how freaky scary he'd be if had a chip on his shoulder against the Blazers if they traded him away.
    2. Rudy -- Dear God I can just envision threes raining in from the wing or a bounce pass between Oden's legs to a cutting forward for a dunk.
    3. Batum -- I REALLY don't want to see a mature Batum faced off against Roy or any of our other guards or wings and you know he'd be trying to go all "in your face" and throw down on LaMarcus or Greg and flash that "peace sign" he likes to give Pau.

Top three Blazers I fear the least in another uniform:
    1. Webster -- Low efficiency player and not all that lights out of a shooter as a perimeter specialist
    2. Sergio -- I think if he gets in the right system he'll be able put up some nice assists numbers, but I don't fear his jumper at all nor his ability to break down a defense
    3. Blake -- Sure he's got a pretty sweet stroke from the corner, but do I really "fear" it?

    Hello darkness, my old friend
I largely agree with yours, but I suspect I wouldn't want to see a Pryzbilla with a chip on his shoulder against the Blazers. I don't want to see Portland's slashers injured.

I was tempted to make him my number 3 selection, but the lack of offense and the fact that he'll be thirty mitigated my fear somewhat ... but for the next 3 or 4 years? Yeah I wouldn't want to see him at all.

I agree, except I would swap Bayless and Batum. I really don't want Batum guarding Roy in a couple of years.

He has that pissed off, chip on his shoulder type game. He would haunt us like Nick Van Exel.

    2-Outlaw
Just have a feeling he would hit big shots on us

    3-Batum
Going to be an absolute stud, esp on D, giving our wings fits.

    Not fear
    1-Sergio
Will be surprised if he is even in the league in 2 years

    2-Blake
2 years ago he would be on the fear list as he killed us with Denver, but now, I think he has reached his peak and Bayless would D him up.

    3- Joel
Love the dude, but he is offensively challenged and I think Oden would match up well with him

Wasn't a peace sign Nik. He was telling Gasol that he had dunked on him twice now. If he had finished the dunk on Gasol in the last game against the Lakers of the season, he would have flashed three fingers.

I fear Batum being one of the top SFs in the league in 5 years. I don't fear Sergio at all.

Yes I know, it was the easiest way I could think of to describe "that's twice bitch" without getting too wordy.
