Sounds to me more like Ainge/Rivers are in full panic mode and desperate to shift the blame. Not really a surprise though. Throughout his playing career, there were mutterings about Ainge's "looking out for #1" attitude.
How bad just Rondo be to make Starbury look good? That said, it is weird that Ainge and Rivers would throw Rondo under the bus. After all, it certainly doesn't enhance his trade value.
If they were to get Amare...how does that work with KG on the team? Too much PF mojo if you ask me...
Well, since there is only one Center in the Eastern Conference that is worth a damn, you play Amare at the 5 spot and call it a day.
Yeah, I thought about that after I posted, but I thought also that Amare does not like playing Center. I guess for a chance to play alongside KG, he would do it.
Rondo's talent is amazing, but clearly I have no idea what sort of attitude problems he has. Of course, if Pritchard thought his attitude could be handled by this team, then I'd love for him to acquire Rondo. Assuming the attitude weren't a deal-breaker, this would be an ideal "consolidation" deal, if Pritchard could put together a package for Rondo that didn't involve Roy/Aldridge/Oden.
yeah even though I hate Ray Ray's age etc.. he would serve as Rudy's spot as backup 3 point specialist.. although he might not like it.
I agree...I think Rondo at PG would be great for us, but I am not sure if that is what KP thinks. We will see soon enough.
Let's face it... Ainge has a terrible track record before Kevin McHale handed him Garnett. This really doesn't come as surprising.
Whoa. That took me off guard. I call BS on this though. This is a ploy to put a budding star in his place. They would be stupid to announce these damaging issues and then try and move him. His value takes a major hit with this. Are they stupid?
This is bullshit. I followed the Hoopshype link to a Hoopsworld article, which took quotes from an ESPN article describing Rondo's development from a cocky rookie to a leader of the Celtics. They took an anecdote that Doc related about a young Rondo and presented it as if Doc had said it this season. Compare what Hoopsworld wrote: With the quote(s) in their original context: They're just trying to stir up a rumour out of nothing.
Yes he is. The most amazing thing to me is that he has all of this success and is being mentioned as one of the best point guards yet everyteam backs off him and dares him to shoot.. sometimes they roam off of him completely. It is ridiculous that he has all that when he can't shoot
