in chosing number 23.If he hadn't chosen it people wouldn't hassle on him interms of being not clutch. People expected waaaaay to much from him. He's only 21. I think he should've chosen a different number because when he retires no-one is going to remember he's number. 23 is always going to be Michael jordan's.
Don't you think it's going to overshadow what he does? Because when "Number 23" is brought up it's going to be MJ, not Lebron.Had he picked a unique one none of this stuff would matter.
He shouldn't have tried to copy MJ so much and followed what Kobe said " I am Kobe Bryant, and there is no next Jordan ". Anyways it really doesn't matter much.
I think he should have chose another number because the number 23 will always be symbolic of and synonomous with the name Michael Jordan. However, even if LBJ had chose another number, he still would be compared with Jordan.
Should've chosen another number just to be original. You want a famous number? Make a number famous. 10 years ago #3 and #8 were nothing.

Numbers don't mean anything at all. Lebron probably chose it bc he looked up to MJ as a child. There are lots of other who wear #23 but they don't get hassled for it. It is just lebron because he is a star player. I think it is bs.

who cares if he picked 23??? that's not why people compare him to jordan. they've been comparing him to jordan because of his ability not his number. he's 21 years old, do you really expect him to be the king of clutch already?

Me neither, but it was a bad choice.Well as long as no one takes my #7 i'm fine.I will be the one to popularize it.

I don't think it would have made a difference if he chose 99,54,20,7, etc. he is still going to be compared to Jordan.

He's too scared sometimes to take big shots. He's stats are like the Big O, not Mj.
