    I'm a diehard Laker fan for my 30+ years on the planet, and frankly I love the state of Oregon and the current Blazers team, which is full of youth, potential, and a great budding superstar in Roy. There's very little to hate, and I'd guess that a vast majority of the Laker base that hates the Blazers hates them primarily because of the fringe psychos that comprise a sliver of the Blazer fanbase. For example, the ones that are more loyal to Laker hating than Blazer fandom. That tells everyone you don't have a life. That crosses over from "fan hate" based on competitiveness to actual, real-life hate where you're sticking Laker dolls with pins on a Saturday night.

    Hey, I have *NEVER* denied that my hatred of the Lakers and their fans wasn't petty, irrational, and "borderline psychotic". After all, it's just a game, played by people WAYYYYYY out my income bracket, and at the end of the day, the Lakers, and for that matter nor the Blazers, the NBA, or professional sports in general makes one iota of difference in how I live my daily life, put food on my table, and take care of my family.

    Now that that's all on the table... DIE LAKER SCUM AND ALL OF YOU WORTHLESS PISS AND PURPLE-LOVING BANDWAGGON FANS! ;)

    I'm a beaver fan and I actually get mad when my fellow beavs root for everyone and anyone to beat the ducks. when the ducks have more success or are on a bigger stage i always root for them (unless its against another school i like) because they represent our great state of Oregon, and I want them to do us proud. but I am Orange! lol.. cheesy i know

    Bunch of my friends are CAL grads but they will still root for all Pac-10 Teams against out of conference teams cause it boosts everyone up

    this.. now look I hate the Huskies (not in the same sense as Chris hate the Lakers though :) ) but when they are outside the conference playing anyone.. I root for the conference.

    I'm the same way, even if it is the stinking Huskies. My wife, a UCLA grad, gets mad at me when I cheer on SC though. She doesn't seem to understand that it's good for the conference. She's just been deep conditioned to hate SC no matter what. I'll admit that my hatred of the Lakers is somewhat psychotic and was more valid when we were in the same division. I guess maybe I've been deep conditioned too. Go Cougs!
