http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=aw-shaqhoward060509&prov=yhoo&type=lgns I'm not surprised, or shocked. Reading this though, it's amazing how many bridges he's managed to burn since leaving LA. I still like him due to the championships he's brought us, but I don't see why Jerry would want him back, unfortunately. I would like to see the Kobe/Shaq duo again, but it doesn't seem likely.
I can't see us trading for him next season, but maybe signing him for the vets minimum in the 2010 off-season and bring him in as a backup to Drew.
No to Shaq for any amount because honestly I don't think Kobe (or even Phil) would want to deal with any potential flareups. Lakers have a great thing going. Unless Kobe and Phil were really confident they could deal with it of course, who knows. Of course we're not even mentioning the fact that it's literally impossible next season at his salary, but doable for the vet minimum in 2010. If he takes that.
he is 37! why would we have him. You know this is just some stupid media shake up, you alwys get bogus media stuff like this around this time of year, the whole of the nba besides lakers and magic arent opperating. GM's are doing scouting on draft picks, but other than that nothing is going on but the finals, so sports writers havent got much to talk about, especially alot of the american sport writers, who may as well be working for entertainment tonight, all they are doing is creating gossip and rumours with no baic truth to it.
If he goes to Cleveland he'll be the last straw for LeBron leaving the franchise. It's guaranteed he throws LeBron under a bus after just one season there.
