A bit of info on Rodrigue Beaubois. It's just a recap of the first day's games. Not a whole lot else there, but they'll probably update it in the next couple days. http://www.nbadraft.net/node/6460
damn, i still want him tho. his potential is sky high, no? give him a year or two to run a team better, bring him over. he can compete with bayless for starting point guard.
Here's another take: Pritchard was there, apparently. Both writers said that Alexey Schved (glued to CSKA Moskow's bench, not in this year's draft) and Beaubois's Cholet teammate Nando de Colo (who our own Koponen had a hand in beating in the Italian playoffs) were the most impressive players there, but both might not be athletic enough for the NBA. Also Patrick Mills's team lost badly (to de Colo's) and Mills does not look like a PG. (Nate Robinson without the hops?)
Who is this guy, and why is he ranked so low? http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Nando-De-Colo-5087/ He reminds me a bit of our own Serg, but seems to be comfortable with shooting from deep and finishing at the rim.
Rondo was a very good playmaker, just a poor outside shooter, so no. I'm of the opinion that playmaking skills do not develop late. Refined yes, developed no. (That's the risk of trying to make Bayless a PG.)
