Ariza being allowed to basically hump Hedo and phantom calls when it mattered was the difference in the game tonight...how can you not hate the Lakers, they can't get much luckier that's for sure...It makes me sick to my stomach!
We were 2-1 against the rockets with Yao. Small ball gave us problems. Luckily, we are a team of champions, not chumps, like the blazers. We found a way to win
I'm always like this about the L*kers and their fans. Not just because the Blazers are out of the playoffs. I've lived in LA for a long time and its just shit having to deal with these L*ker fan fuckwad cholos running around town.
3 atraight calls late n the 4th was the difference. orlando got screwed on all of them. Then they let a non starter try to win the game. (jj) very stupid. That was the series.
If a team (or fan) has to rely on or blame the refs for a win/loss, then they shouldn't have put themselves in a position where a call or two dictated the game. Refs make mistakes both ways, ignoring whether or not you think the NBA is corrupt, you can't control the refs. Play your game and get it done.
You don't seriously think he missed the layup because the backboard was *maybe* moving slightly, do you? I give Van Gundy a lot of credit though for that play. He spent a second timeout to see what LAs defense was going to do (Hedo wasn't even trying to inbound the ball), then made a great read. Lee was the LAST person that anyone would have predicted to get the ball, hence why he had such a great opportunity. The kid just couldn't put it down. I feel bad for him; it literally made the difference between this being a series vs. LA being in firm control.
1. That music made me want to fight someone just listening to it here in my apartment. 2. I thought there were never any fights at sporting events? 3. His gf wasn't hot enough to get that worked up over. Ed O.
I've been trying to figure out why I don't have my normal Laker hate this year. One reason, I think, is because the Lakers are the best team. They're not going to LUCK into a title... they're well built and they have either the best or the second-best player in the NBA on their team. I don't mind the best team winning most of the time. A second reason? If it's not the Blazers winning it all, I really don't give a shit. My parents live in Orlando and there are a lot of reasons to root for them, but... meh. I just don't care. The Blazers are, in my opinion, maybe a half-step behind both of these teams now but for the first time since the 4th quarter meltdown againt the Lakers way back when, I feel we actually deserve to be in big games and that we will have chances--soon--to win them. Yeah it was a great play by SVG running mis-direction and leaving Lee open for a game winner. Lee had two opportunities to put this game away, but rushed on both. SVG is showing the world he's a damn good coach. The play was from Dr. Ramsey's playbook according to Henry Abbott at TrueHoop Gasol said his hand hit the rim going for the shot block in the post-game interview. I'd have to see exactly when he got it out and if the ball was in the cylinder at the time. If it was then goaltending should be the call.
Don't stress Shape, Howard's entire arm went through the basket on one play, it was a mega-goaltend so to speak.
