Van Horn Hurt Again? From the DMN:"Van Horn hurt again: Keith Van Horn suffered a right thumb injury against Orlando. X-rays taken after the game were inconclusive. Van Horn, who was evaluated by team physician Dr. T.O. Souryal on Saturday, will have his status for today determined at game time."

You stole the topic headline from DB.com, unless your Dirk41MVP. Also, why wasn't this the headline for Daniels? He's been hurt pretty much his whole career so far.

Daniels getting an ankle sprain and neck strain are not being soft. That is just bad luck. Van Horn and Harris though are soft.

And he basically was out last year multiple times with the same ankle injury. Harris' prob is he needs to bulk up, his frame can't take the abuse, and since he drives, it's not a good combo. Also, wouldn't you call Dunleavy's hard screen that messed Devin's shoulder bad luck as well?

out with a neck strain? for a month? that's ridiculous. a neck strain wouldn't effect your game enough to miss a month. That inexcusable.

Well considering Harris isn't that strong that shoulder injury was a result of it. How do you protect a neck strain though? It doesn't matter how tough you are because that is a bad injury to get.

Still doesn't explain why he's sitting so much because of it. It's just like his ankle injury. He's a slow healer, and that means he's soft.

Yeah, but he can drive and take it the hole, at least.

Both injuries were severe injuries. If Daniels rolled his ankle real badly than of course he would be out for a long time. If he strained his neck badly that can be just as severe depending on how hard he got hit. That is bad luck man. Also being soft means you are timid and Daniels definitely isn't that. I guess Amare Stoudemire is soft to than since he has been out.

Well the one player Dallas can lose is Van Horn. Everyone else will be needed though for Dallas to have a chance. Powell has been serviceable.

Naw, man, last season, we lost the Suns series because KVH was out. At least, that was one reason, because of the fast-paced game, Van Horn could REALLY contribute.

He can score and rebound when Dirk sits or create a mismatch combo with both on the floor. He's viable in the first three quarters, just when the 4th comes around he can sit. But he is needed, Powell makes more mistakes then Van Horn, what you think happens when playoffs come here?

i agree that Van Horn will be missed in the playoffs as well. i like the mismatches they got out of playing both dirk and KVH at the same time. Powell plays better defense and i think rebounds better, but KVH plays better offense.

How can anyone say Van Horn is good on offense? Maybe once every five games but he hurts us more than helps us. Powell was actually hitting some shots today and I liked what he brought in todays game against Denver.

That is Van Horn's repetoire since he's entered the league as a offensive player. He's got good moves downlow like the hook, step back, and can hit the jumper from midrange and long. One game doesn't erase Powell's inability to knock down a shot CONSISTENTLY.
