Chad Ford article continues information flow on Rubio. He seems very serious about coming to the NBA soon.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
Good stuff. Maybe they'll be open to dealing the pick, then. If you don't want to draft Rubio, it seems like the next group of prospects aren't that far apart in talent and a team like Memphis might be amenable to be dropping back a bit and adding another asset.

So if Portland can acquire a lower lottery pick (like 5 or 8), maybe they can make something happen.

Rubio already met with Memphis' executives when they visited Spain. That's probably why he is not visiting the city.

So let's say the Blazers obtain #8 from New York for Sergio and change. Can they then immediately package the #8 to Memphis with Outlaw, a re-signed Frye, and all of our 2nd round picks for the #2 and Filler? Does this work? What would the Blazers have to take back, like a bad contract?

Do the Blazers really want another Euro Point Guard?

Interesting article out of the Memphis paper. Seems like NY has been rumored for the No. 2 pick in a trade with their No. 8 pick. If the Blazers somehow got the No. 8 from NY, they could be in the running for No. 2 then, right?

damn you and your reason for ruining such a hilarious joke. I mean, getting snubbed for the cities of Oklahoma City and Sacramento? And the only thing the Clippers have going for them (in the eyes of a prospect) is that they're in LA.

I don't know what everyone is so excited about? I would love nothing more than those assholes in Memphis to end up with an overrated point guard.

What, you want them to get Telfair? Or Sergio?

Maybe KP can promise to only slightly pritch-slap them in the future if they agree to a trade with us that favors us hugely.

At this point, I don't think it's humanly possible for Sergio to be considered overrated anymore. More than half the site wants to "dump him" for a second-round pick or two.

At this point, if we got the #2 pick, I'd sincerely hope we draft James Harden as I think he'll be the best player to come out of this draft. But we don't need a #2 pick. Yes, go for #8 if we can get it cheaply, but don't really need to get any higher.

It's impossible to trade for Eddy Curry before July 1. Absolutely impossible. Not like "let's trade Przy, Outlaw, and Blake for LBJ" impossible, because that could actually work according to CBA rules. But any trade for Eddy Curry cannot, b/c he has an ETO. If he uses the ETO by July 1, he's a free agent and can't be traded. If not, he's under contract, but that goes into effect at the beginning of the moratorium, iirc.

agreed. Harden lost me with that dismal performance in the PAC-10 Tournament and the NCAA Tournament.

Good thing that we can't trade for him, just in case KP goes insane and tries it. But why even bring up Eddy Curry?

Psst...Stephen Curry with the #8 pick. I assume he could be agreed to be traded after he is drafted, as is the case with all trades in the draft.
