Re: Kapono traded Perfect. Great trade. Evans is a rebounding machine. Plus he is a dirty player sometimes, which is even better.
Re: Kapono traded I wonder what the plan is for the wing positions? No word yet on Graham and Parker being re-signed?
I've heard nothing on the wings, except for the Euro guard from Greece probably coming over. Smith said this is likely the end of POB because it'll save Toronto 300K. Sounds nice to me. The other positive is any thought to drafting Blair is gone. The Negative is Pops probably won't be back, unless (and I'm hoping for this) we trade Hump for either cash and picks, or a serviceable wing.
Wow! I thought the only way we could get rid of Kap's contract was to package him with one of our attractive assets. Evans was the type of player I thought we should've signed in the offseason when Colangelo inked Kapono. Delfino's got to factor into our guard depth chart, no? All signs indicate that BC will be try to bring him back. I'm assuming that he'll make a concerted effort to bring Marion back too (not sure how that'll work), and then look to draft a wing. I think AP might go elsewhere for more money/a bigger role. Not sure about Joey.
I wonder if this is an attempt to bring in players who can teach Bargnani how to rebound better, or an acknowledgement that they'll always have to build around that deficiency.
I think we should try to trade Hump regardless of Pops' contract situation. He's just redundant with Evans' skillset, with the exception that Evans doesn't try to overextend himself. I'm sure Humphries could get us something decent in a trade.
we wont get anything for hump, particularly since he's coming off a serious injury. nevertheless, the raps need a shot blocker in my opinion. its no coincidence that both the lakers and magic defenses are anchored by shot blockers as for evans- this guy is probably one of the top three rebounders in the league. i remember he had a game against the raptors where he had 20 rebounds and zero points
i think its presidents choice actually but i still saw today during the finals. i wonder whats worse- bosh's juicy fruit; bargnani's pasta ad or kapono's president's choice one? and why would PC's ad executives pick kapono anyways?
Bosh's juicy fruit ad for sure! "Man, you had game like Chris Bosh. Can you imagine?..." lol Great acting
