Ariza fouled Turkoglu basically the whole fourth quarter IMO. Other than that the officiating was fine, just normal mistakes on both sides.
The backboard is moving, and Gasol's hand is through the basket, on the net, and hitting the rim as the ball has been released. Whether I "think" he missed the layup because of this is irrelevant. What is relevant is that, by rule, Gasol goaltended on the final play.
That's some pretty nice spin. The rim and backboard were shaken by Gasol grabbing the rim. Is the NBA saying that it is now legal to grab the rim and move the backboard/rim while a shot is in the air? If so, every team should have a guy grabbing the rim on every jump shot.

I contend that the rim/backboard were vibrating, causing the ball to "unnaturally" bounce hard off of the backboard. http://www.nba.com/analysis/rules_11.html
^ The rim nor backboard was vibrating as the ball made contact therefore it's not a goaltend. Sorry kiddo, you lose.
Sorry, wish I could agree but I dont. It was shaking without a doubt. That said, it made no difference. It wasnt shaking violently at all. I saw the up close video and when the ball hit the rim it bounced on the far outside of the rim. There was no chance that ball was going in, shaking or not.
This is what Phil Jackson considers a mind game. Admit it was a bad call (since it costs him nothing) and maybe distract the Magic into being upset about game 2 rather than focused on game 3. I think his attempts at mind games are extremely overrated, but it's a typical pattern.
Can anyone tell me how the third game could have been so close, scorewise? Orlando shoots 10 points higher percentage, takes more free throws and makes a higher percentage, shoots a higher 3pt % , out rebounds by two and has the same number of turnovers. I guess LA makes three more 3 pointers on approximately the same percentage, but still, it seems like I am missing something....
Anybody find it funny that the Laker fan with the ref jersey in the background is busy on his cellphone, looking the wrong way, with the ball on his end of the court?
What's Fryer going to say? That the refs blew an obvious call because the basket was clearly moving due to Gasol hitting it, and that the Magic should have won? It was a blown call. One of many, but this one literally should have ended the game with the Magic winning and now up 2-1 in the Finals. K*be Bryant still won't get a legit title w/out Shaq in my eyes and in the eyes of many other fans.
What? No two pages of disdain when the horrible calls go in ORL favor... yes yes, I know...how dare a Lakers fan say such a thing....Ill just name the worst call for now. Luke Walton called for a charge when it should have been an and 1...turned out to be a 5 point swing...and that was right in the midst of the Lakers final push
