We've now scoredd 4 runs in the past 4 games all wile allowing 30.

Any idea as to the problems? Obviously our bullpen is bad and lol, Chris Jakubauskas may just be the worst decisin this whle year. He's just been downright awful; mind you, some bad luck, but he's just plain bad. Premature, but he's looking as bad as Carlos Silva (as hard as that is to believe).

after our hot start, we're showing that same team we saw last year and sooner-than-later this Marinerse organization is gnna have a firesale. This may be onet of the worst ownerships in the MLB, but i'm sad to say that it's the pitchers fault. We need to spend some money.

    ANy ideas?

I'm having a hard time typing as I'm still pretty drunk (long night) sp don't mine me. lol

Mariners aren't bad, they just need a consistent 5th starter instead of Silva and a power bat in the lineup. Mariners don't have that GREAT bat that you can stick in the clean up spot every game and know he's a threat to put a run on the board during any at bat.

iunno, I have faith in Griffey at clean up, he does a good job at advancing runns and driving them in whenever he;s at the 3 or 4. Beltre is gone by the end of the year so I say we trade him for some prospects.

Here's to hoping we get Strasburg (yn). He and King Felix are awesome building blocks.

After looking at the rotation lately, looks like M's might of found a decent 5th spot rotation guy in Jason Vargas. He has been putting up some very impressive starts and hasn't given up 2 runs in any starts yet. I guess he was acquired in the Putz deal, so looks like he was a gem we might of found there.

Mariners need to be shoppers soon if they want to get back in the AL West race b/c their offense is horrible w/o Griffey. I kind of wish they would find 1 more solid OF for hitting to rotate with Endy Chavez and Franklin Guitterez because what they have isn't cutting it.

P.S. Put Silva on the waiver wire.....

franklin is doing really good defensively, but honestly who on our team is gonna bring back good prospects?....beltre could bring back a decent prospect, ichiro could but he isnt gonna be traded....bedard can get the best package except probably ichiro and king felix...i dont want either of them traded

With the 2nd pick in the draft, M's took Ackley. It should be interesting where they groom him to play.

Yeah, over 90% of the picks an organization makes will never scratch the 25 man roster, but it's worth taking a risk on someone like the SS that has a natural feel for the game. Ackley is a stud though, all he has to do it adapt to the wooden bat and try to get his arm strong enough to play OF, then he could get into LF asap to help the lineup since Ichiro won't be around forever. I think Ichiro is already like 35 or something around there, so they need to compete soon :(

Ackley only played 1B b/c he was coming off Tommy John surgery I believe, so he'll either be a 2B or OF, more than likely OF though. I hope we get him signed soon rather than waiting until the last minute like the last 2 picks.
