See but the stats are skewed man.Terry doesn't have the assist of James because of the offense the Mavs run. You don't get assist if you are running ISO's all the time.Plus the Mavs aren't in the top half of league in team assists. And his ppg numbers would be up if the Mavs weren't so talented. It is a joke, cause James has better numbers this year playing on a bad team in a contract year.Terry's number are very similar and he's playing on a top 3 team with better players and is a better defender.
But James is playing on a top 5 offensive team in the League and still getting his ppg numbers. The Raptors actualy average more ppg then the Mavs..
That's all fine and good that they avg more PPG than the Mavs...it doesn't get you nowhere, remember for about 7 years the Mavs were in the top 3 in ppg, and they have nothing to show for it.And in that case, yeah he's getting more touches, and more oppertunity to score on the Raptors than Terry is in Dallas, yet Terry still has almost the same numbers with less touches, and on a team scoring less than the Raptors.BTW, noone will say the Raptors are a better offensive team than the Mavs...they score more PPG, but alot of teams score more ppg than the Spurs, but they are still one of the most efficient offensive teams, just like the Mavs.
Yeah you are right in every way of that post. Nice post and good thoughts. You are right about Mike getting more touches then Terry. I will just end this debate here bc there is nothing more to prove, really.
Mike James is just as efficient offensively shooting wise as Terry is. The difference is Mike James isn't a team player. He is selfish and is a black hole and doesn't get his teammates involved. His defense isn't that good either.
Alrite, I love Terry, but let's get something straight. He is NOT a stand still shooter. He can airball those shots. For example, just look at the Three-Point Contest. He shoots shots on the run, and that's why he is such an efficient shooter.Anyway, head-to-head, Terry got the game-winning floater, so Terry?AS FOR THE ASSISTS CASEYeah, Dallas runs lots of Isolations, but look at how many assists their opponents get!!They're 28th in the league in APG, and they give up less than they get!!
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>His defense isn't that good either.</div>That was his repetoire when he first entered the league, he's a damn good defender at pg.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Alrite, I love Terry, but let's get something straight. He is NOT a stand still shooter. There are plays where he stands along the three point line waiting for the kick out. He does take floaters and shots in the lane at times, but he also is a stand still shooter. In addition, he's not a guy I've seen pull up and shoot a three since his stay here, so I don't get what your saying he shoots on the run. Avery wants us to use the shot clock.
Like, what I mean, Terry has lots of movement before his shot. Yeah, he DOES make stand-still three's, but not consistently. WATCH THE THREE-POINT LISTEN AND LISTEN TO THE COMMENTARY. lol...
Mike James is not a good defender when he plays heavy minutes. Maybe coming off the bench he is a spark offensively and defensively but players can go right by him. For example Tony Parker owned him the time the Raptors played the spurs.
Guys I think this has either already been decided, as CB4 said he's done...so we're going round and round again.Terry is having the most success as far as teams are concerned. His number, while slightly less than James, are very comparable, with less touches, and on a lower scoring team.Their defense is comparable too.
Just wanted to get these in.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>For example Tony Parker owned him the time the Raptors played the spurs.</div>Who hasn't he owned this year?<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>WATCH THE THREE-POINT LISTEN AND LISTEN TO THE COMMENTARY. lol...</div>Who cares about the three point contest, watch the games.

Put James in Dallas and his numbers dont differ much from his career averages..<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Waqas @ Apr 11 2006, 05:40 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Like, what I mean, Terry has lots of movement before his shot.
