I haven't done it as a continuous trip, but I have done all sections of the Timberline trail multiple times - as dayhikes and one or two night backpacking trips. I've also done many (most) of the side trips (Paradise Park, Yocum Ridge, McNeill Point, Barrett Spur, Cooper Spur, etc.) off the Timberline. My favorite section is the NW - N side of the mountain (Cairn Basin, Wy'east Basin, Elk Cove). The mountain looks more rugged from this side and the glaciers are bigger and hold their snow longer than the ones on the south and east sides of the mountain. Nice campsites with good views in these areas, as well. I'm considering doing the complete loop with my kids this year. I want to eventually do the Wonderland Trail around Mt. Rainier with them and the Timberline is similar in character to the Wonderland, but on a smaller scale. BNM
Ecstasy is bad news. You can't sleep and you're depressed for two days after taking it. It's on the list of things I won't ever do again, although I did it more than once in my younger DJ days.
I hear a bad batch can really mess you up . . . glad i got through my college days without seriously causling damage to myself up. Ignorance was fun . . . these days i don't have the guts (or i am just smarter) to really dabble in that stuff. Of course if some babe tempted me, I could see myself pull a Marion Berry. Luckly for me (I guess) no babe will ever tempt me.
