I don't post many messages here but I do notice a lot of tendencies with you regulars. One of those is that all it take for some of you guys to be on a bandwagon or jumping off a bridge and calling for someone's head is one game. Fire Nate, trade steve, I've heard it all here.

Now that Turkoglu basically pulled a Nick Anderson in the 95 NBA Finals by missing 4 out of 5 free throws in the final minutes of Game 4, how many are still riding the turkish phenom saying to acquire him at all costs and how many are ashamed of themselves for even wanting him in the first place??

And for the people with common sense, this isn't meant for you guys, just the guys that like making knee jerk decisions!!!

Firing Nate and trading Steve would still be great, but despite the FT's missed you still have to add a player like Hedo.

To tell you the truth, we will probably have a chance to get the Turk for less $$$ if the Magic LOSE the Finals, than if he was to lead them to a championship, so I'm ok with it. Crap happens. He's still a player I'd love to have. Its just too bad that the Lakers are the beneficiaries of Orlando's charity, though.

Yep. Most fans live and die with their teams. The more passion a fan has for their team the more black and white they become. Portland fans are probably more passionate than most pro sports fans because the Blazers are it as far as their teams go. There is no football or baseball or hockey to get excited for. There is also no college football excitement like you see in the south. When I moved from Portland to Texas a couple of years ago I was shocked at the level of passion people here have for college football. I think the NE is really more passionate about baseball to be honest, and the midwest is more about football.

You can look at it like that. Or you can look at it as the Magic missed half their free throws and committed way too many turnovers to win the game. The game is more than a minute or two.

Why would Portland want him? He shriveled up and went away in the biggest game in Magic history. :devilwink:

With that argument we wouldn't have anyone but Branon and LaMaracus on our team because everyone else had really poor playoffs. :devilwink:

Yep and all the players in Portland didn't even get the chance to choke in the finals.

I would still take Hedo in a 3 year deal, so that Batum could transition into the starter role more naturally. No player comes through in the clutch 100% of the time, but Hedo has hit big shots in his career.

As pointed out by Jason Whittlock, this Orlando loss sits firmly on SVG's shoulders. There is no fucking way Nelson should have been on the floor as long as he was.

Because...we already have one of the most clutch players in the league, and we don't have Ron Jeremy as our coach/choke artist?:smiley-fist:
