I was just throwing this out there because of how incredibly close Portland came to having a Stanley Cup champion. Truly the greatest championship of them all.
One of the great things about hockey is that you can't really take any games off or someone will take your head off.
Of the four major usa sports? and living here in the north, its a big problem that i think hockey is boring as hell lol.
Wow. I find it amazing that someone could find hockey boring. It's so fast and people get the shit knocked out of them on nearly every possession.
playoff hockey really is the best of all sports. And hockey traditions surpass all other sports' traditions. by a lot.
I was begging for Paul Allen to get the Penguins. The Steelers and Pens have been my favorite teams for almost 30 years.
Gotta agree was a truly awesome game. The last few minutes were nuts, Fleury really had his game on at the end. I especially love the young guns taking out the old veteran favorites, even more so since everyone discounted them and said they couldn't win after they lost the first two games. Watching those guys fulfill their life long dreams and hoisting the Stanley Cup at the end is a really cool thing.
bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo all you all  wing lose and the lakers win the championship  wow what a sucky sports year but... at least The TIMBERS are doing great besides that Allen owns a part of the shittle flounders and KILLED the MC being used as a baseball stadium rather we get a genetic midwest "entertainment" zone....barf on the midwest.
I enjoy watching Hockey a lot more in HD, makes it way easier to see what's going on and where the puck is. It's a really fun sport to watch once you get a basic understanding of the game. It also helps if you have at least some hockey experience; it helps you appreciate just how amazing these NHL players really are at their sport. Anyway, congrats to Pittsburgh! The home team won every game in this series...except for game 7. HUGe Props for gutting one out on the road, it was funny to watch the Detroit crowd boo at everything and everyone after the game ended
Well, the Phillies won the 2008 World Series. So from October 2008 til now, Pennsylvania's had a pretty nice sports year.
