Dirk still had a great game when we played them, he was absolutely lights out..The fact is, in this league, you can lose to any team on any given night and you have to come out willing to give 100% if you want to come out with a win...
Yeah, I get your point, but I just don't want anybody to go say, "We can CREAM Dallas anyday."Anyway, let's talk about now. Pistons were KIND of cold in March, but don't you guys think come playoff time the starters will get tired?

Dont get me wrong, Im not trying to paint a picture of the Nets being this unstopable force, all Im saying is that they should be taken as a serious threat and most definatly have the ability to play with the upper echelon teams in this league..The Pistons point is a good one, they have been logging a lot of minutes, and it could hurt them come playoff time..I think the same problem will take in the west with San Antonio and Dallas in a slugfest for that top seed. They will put so much effort into getting that top seed and the home court advantage that comes with it that it could effect their performance in the playoffs..

Good thing Denver's third seed is safe :boogie:
They are contenders but I doubt they can beat the Pistons, but other than them I think they have a very good shot to beat anyone else. The Nets always go on the big streak in the 2nd half but this team is a little different, they have Nenad Krstic hitting shots and making big plays. Jason Collins and Clifford Robinson provide good defense.
I see the Nets competing with Miami in a second round matshup. However, even though Vince Carter has played great against them this year, Vince really hasn't had a great playoff career, and the rest of their team is vastly inexperianced. I think that'll be their downfall in a 6 game series
Vastly inexperienced? RJ was with nets in those Finals years and when they pushed the champion Pistons to 7 games. Same with Kidd, who was the biggest reason for those Finals appearences. Cliff Robinson has been around the block, and Vaughn has had some playoff and one Finals appearence. Collins was with NJ a few years back, and OPadgett has been around. VC has been through playoffs before, and the only 2 players that I consider inexperienced are Krstic and Planninc. I think they will lose to Miami in 2nd round, but it will be a 6-7 game series. Their downfall will be what happenned last year and in 2001-2002, they will run out of steam when it counts.

Carter has played some big playoff games and Kidd and Collins have been there with RJ in the past runs. Krstic is the only guy you can really make a case for, and I dont know how strong it would be based on his performance against Shaq in the playoffs last season..
Vaugn went to one NBA Finals with the Jazz. I don't call benchwarming experience. Don't give me the "Experience / Leadership" factor for Vaughn, becuase he is far from a leader. Playing is a totally different thing. Kristic is also inexperianced, having been to the playoffs only once. Vince Carter, has been to the playoffs 3 times. 1st time he was swept. 2nd time, he went for 2 rounds. 3rd time, he was swept. In his playoff career, he shoots 40%. That's Iverson-like percentage right there. Robinson, Kidd, Collins and Jefferson are experienced, but when your best scorer is an inconsistent playoff performer, has only been there a few times, 2 of which were extreemely unsuccessful, your starting center has only been there once, and two of your bench players are relatively inexperianced, you could have some problems.Maybe they are not "vastly" inexperianced, but compared to the likes of Miami (Shaq, Payton, Mourning, Wade, heck Haslem has more experience than Vince Carter) and Detroit (Their whole team), I don't see the Nets getting anything there
