you were quoting yourself, and responding to a post you made. So I took that as you making fun of your own mother, which is a shame. I hear she's really nice. At least, she was last night.
1) We've decided to rent for a year. Much more home (Fisher's Landing) for the rental money than what we had found in the Portland area. 2) Appearing that my wife may have landed the killer job/pay in the Vancouver area. We'll know this week. 3) (and not least of which), Our kids and grandchildren live in the Chehalis area. A bit easier commute for them/us. Remember, I said "rent". One we have a much firmer grasp of the lay of the land, it's still our hope/goal in the coming years to purchase a home in the Portland area. BTW, upon further consideration, I've decided to take back my old moniker.
Does that make us brothers? I was born and raised in Vancouver. My mom still and most of my family still lives there. It is a little differen from when I grew up, but still a nice area. Great fireworks stands.
I actually kind of liked the little downtown of Vancouver. Used to work there years and years ago. Of course, most of the town is a sprawling suburb that's indistinguishable from Gresham or Beaverton, IMO. Definitely a good idea to rent for a while. Properties are only going to get cheaper to buy, and it's a smart idea to really know the area before you buy. Between "The Country's Best Mayonnaise" and "Anti-Ballistic Missile", I think you chose the right handle. Myself, I've never really liked acronyms. Why be a series of randomly strung together letters when you could be a mook? It's why Google is cool and AT&t isn't.
Really? So mook does not stand for "Most Outworldly Outstanding Kalamari"? I can't say I am not disappointed...
