There's a huge difference in what Flynn did and what Morrison did. The first notable difference is the level of competition. The Big East was Godzilla Huge this year. Godzilla. They proved they were one of the elite teams coming out of that conference. And Flynn, IMO, did this with relatively less talent than Morrison did with Gonzaga.

Secondly, Flynn's diverse talents are significantly more valuable at this next level than Morrison's.

Once the Zags got to the Tournament that year, and played against superior competition, more flaws in his game were shown to me. Once 'Cuse and Flynn got to the Big East Tournament and then the Dance, I saw a guy that not only sustained his level of fantastic play, but in some cases, exceeded his past play.

This type of thinking leads me to wonder if people actually watched much of Syracuse this year.

they need to add a vet!!! that is the #1 priority!!!! KP has never done this! I know he is going to draft a rookie but im afraid thats all he's going to do. In that case it would be a huuuuuuge mistake.

Bayless was a lotto pick in a great draft. He struggled but also showed some raw ability flashes of what he could be especially when when Blake was out and he enjoyed steady minutes. Believe it or not, I can site a few examples of All-NBA type talents that didn't set the world on fire in their rookie years.

Flynn might be a lotto pick in whats generally felt to be a very weak draft. I've read nobody putting him among the top 2-3 players in this weak draft let alone #1. If in a couple years he looks like the best player and a general stud you'll be able to site this thread as proof of your ability to project players... you'll be right and everyone else will be wrong. But acting like a jerk today towards others who respectfully disagree with you ahead of this actually happening will always read poorly.

The draft is supposed to be pretty strong in PGs if that means anything.

thats not the impression I've gathered. Rubio has some hype, but most seem to predict he'll probably struggle next year and after that it's a crapshoot of opinions. Rose, Westbrooke, Mayo, and Bayless were all thought to be ready to play. They all brought good size and athleticism to the table. DJ Augustine had some mixed views as he is smallish but I bet even he would have gone ahead of every PG in this draft after RR.

as bad as this draft is felt to be, only 3 of the PG prospects are thought to be possibly top 10 material and only one is thought to be a lock for the top 5. We shall see, but my guess is that none of them will have much impact next year.

Just saying...When you have Rubio, Curry, Flynn, Evans, Holiday, Jennings, Lawson, Maynor, Mills, Teague, Collison in the same draft, you'd think at least one or two of them would pan out.

I don't think the next CP3 is in this draft. Players like him don't come along very often. I don't think Jennings is a bust either. He will be a starter in the NBA someday.

No, I don't overrate players on the Blazers. I actually follow college baccketball especially pac10 more then the NBA. I think Bayless is the better player from college and will make a better pro on the Blazers or with another team if we trade him. Like I said I like Flynn and if we didn't already have someone that is going to be better I wouldn't mind drafting him. Bayless is IMO going to be a star in the NBA but maybe for another team.

The general consensus is that this draft is lacking both star quality at the top and quality depth... yet you're listing 11 PGs??? Most of the names you listed don't strike me as guys who might be quality starters someday and some don't even strike me as PGs.

    We shall see.
