Ohok here is the deal its a prediction game: One post on what you think KP will do on draft day and only draft day then after the fact we will see how who was closest.

He'll get Ramon Sessions. Expect three Blazers to go out: Sergio, Outlaw, and either Blake or Bayless. We may not draft anyone first round, but Blazers pick up a possible backup PF either in the draft or as part of a deal. Rudy stays put. No big-name veteran at SF joins, leaving Batum and Webber at SF, with Rudy/Roy to get some time there.

He'll say they were trying to be active but couldn't get anything done, but we are happy with the team we have.

Yeah, it's a real shame that's been his MO this whole time. That's why the Blazers' team consists of Zach Randolph, Darius Miles, Juan Dixon, Ruben Patterson, Sebastian Telfair, Jarrett Jack, Viktor Khryapa, Sergei Monya and Ha Seung-Jin.

KP has never made an impact trade involving a popular player with the fan base. I don't think he will do it on draft day either.

The absolute easiest thing to do is add a bunch of young talent. Whether they pan out or not is a different story however. Tweeking the talent and adding players while subtracting other players is what's hard. When KP does it the first time I will back off.

That's really a strange thing to say, considering a lot of the players that were on the team, weren't "popular" players with the fan base. There hasn't been an opportunity to trade a "popular player" outside of basically this year.

And in a lot of those cases, 90% of the bitching people do is based on "we could've traded a pile of rocks for that bag of gold!" type trade rumors that are presented on websites and treated as though they were absolutely the trade.

Portland will take which ever available power forward is there at 24th and a collection of European players with their 2nd round picks.

They will be the topic of a huge number of rumors, none of which will actually pan out.

KP trades the first round pick for a future top twenty protected first and takes Rodrigue Beaubois with the 32nd pick. In two more draft day trades he moves Steve Blake and two second round picks for Kirk Hinrich, and Travis Outlaw, cash, plus the rights to Joel Freeland will be traded to the Warriors for Ronny Turiaf. And finally a bunch of no-name scrubs will fill out roster spots 12-14 signed in July.

    Next year's roster:
    Hinrich/Bayless/Beaubois
    Roy/Rudy
    Batum/Martell/D-league all-star
    LMA/Turiaf/Over-the-hill banger
Oden/Przybilla/Steven Hill's bigger, hairier little brother.

On draft day KP will wak up in his home at 3:00am, brush his teeth, get into his Acura, drive to BHQ but half way there will notice that he is still in his PJs, he will turn around, get back home, put on his lucky draft-day suit, the purple tie and the matching shoes, again get in his Acura and drive to BHQ. He will find his parking spot, get into the door... and that's where my crystal ball loses reception. I think they have some kind of wireless interference device at BHQ - because all I get is static.

This one might be the winner. Although I am not sold that KP will actually draft anyone yet.

KP will trade Sergio and the 24 for something, but will still make a pick in the first round. They'll use one of their second round picks, and trade the others for future second-rounders.
"You can never have too many assets," Pritchard said.

If that is the only thing that happens on draft day =

KP could draft a 5' tall female PG from a AAAAA community college for all I care after that.

He will spend several hours debating who has the ugliest suit in the green room.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
I don't see Pritchard trading out of the first round unless it's part of a blockbuster deal.

I think Pritchard views the draft as an essential pipeline to keep a continuous injection of young talent into the team, plus I'm sure he views it as a major strength of his. So, unless he can get something really nice in a trade, I think he'll either select at #24 or move up.

Of course he'll "draft" someone. Like how he drafted Tyrus Thomas and Randy Foye.

Ok, I'm going to go out on a limb here...

He will draft a player whose name Antonio Harvey will have great difficulty pronouncing correctly.
