Source He's been working out like hell. He has a jumpshot now, gained an inch and is just shy of 7 feet, and gained 20 pounds of muscle. He is going to be a superstar.
I'm excited too. Last year he showed the passion you want to see in a star, now he's showing the commitment and work ethic to go along with it. Randolph could put up some ridiculous numbers this year if he gets PT, and imagine what he could be doing with a real PG feeding him the ball and working the pick and roll. Morrow is apparently doing a lot of work as well, also good to see because it sucks having the NBA's best long distance shooter sitting on the bench most of the game.
If he manages to put on more weight and maintain his speed and athleticism, and keeps that desire without trying to do too much, then he will be a star. It might not be next season, but at some point, he will be. There are a lot of if's in there though. Here's hoping.
I just want him to be consistent, and this is at least a good first step. As Warriors fans, obviously we are uncurably optimistic otherwise we would have stopped being fans for our own health, we rarely talk open crap about players unless they totally stop trying so we're not too sarcastic as a whole.. but like everyone else, we are prone to exaggerations.
I hope he pans out for you guys, you've had crappy luck last year but I like your fans and the franchise.
