<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>LA Daily News - Phil Jackson wasn't happy about one of his former players being released when the Bobcats let Kareem Rush go."I thought it was vindictive," Jackson said. "I don't like to see it because he's one of the guys that we nurtured here. He was contributing to us a lot in the championship (run) two years ago."When I came back, one of my first considerations was can we get Kareem Rush back here to play on this basketball club," Jackson said. "I do value his game and hope that he has a good career."</div>

Don't Lakers have enough swingmen? And what is Jimmy Jackson doing?

If we didn't pick up JJ, I would of said yes to this. Jackson isn't playing anyways. Im guessing still trying to get the triangle, but it's been a while, and the triangle is more and more coming into the "Bryangle". Which is more effective IMO.But if we were to pick up Rush, I would see Odom getting traded somewhere in the offseason. I don't think we'll get him.

Rush would really help the Lakers out. They are definately in need of more veterans to help them with their playoff push. Rush is a pretty good shooter and Kobe could compliment him pretty easily. He also has played for Phil before and he knows his philosophy.

If we signed him up now he wouldn't be available for playoffs. We already have laron profit backing kobe up [even though he's waived lakers are going to sign up him next season]. Kareem needs to go to a team like the suns.

i could see Rush playing a backup role next year on this team. He knows the system. jimmy jackson and aaron mckie most likely wont be here next year. i think its a good sign for them.

Well Rush shoots 38% from the field and doesn't do much on the stat sheet. The only thing he does is shoot 3's pretty good. If you need a outside shooter, Rush is decent.
