Lewis gets suspended sentence for reckless drivinghttp://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2395647REDMOND, Wash. -- Seattle SuperSonics forward Rashard Lewis pleaded guilty to reckless driving and was given a one-year suspended sentence Monday, five months after he failed sobriety and breath tests during a stop on Interstate 90.Lewis initially pleaded not guilty to drunken driving. He reached the plea deal with prosecutors after a King County District Court judge ruled that the breath tests were not admissible.Under the terms of the agreement, Lewis will serve 24 hours of community service, two years of probation and pay $175 to reimburse the State Patrol for emergency response costs. He also received a $5,000 fine, but as long as he stays out of trouble, he'll only have to pay $350.Other conditions include taking an alcohol information class and attending a DUI victims panel.Lewis was driving one of five cars speeding eastbound together early on Sept. 30, Washington State Patrol Trooper Curt G. Boyle wrote in an investigation report. His eyes were watery and speech was slurred, Boyle wrote. Lewis failed a field sobriety test and was taken to the Mercer Island Police Department, where he registered a 0.132 and 0.122 on successive breath tests. The intoxication threshold in Washington is 0.08.

Wait, so what is the "suspended-sentence"? It may be really obvious, but did his license get suspended, or was he suspended from the team?

It amazes me the stupidity some of these players can have. If you can afford million dollar mansions, and cars, why not get yourself a driver for when you are wasted?

Man what a dumb mistake this is. If you put all that work into becoming an nba player and than screw it up off the court. That makes no sense.
