I for one would love to see a back court of Roy and Gordon. Two guys that can handle the ball, shoot and pass. It would have to keep other teams scrambling to cover both guys. Gordon would certainly enjoy taking the last shot (similar to Roy and Outlaw).

I would as well. Anyone have a time machine back to the 2006 draft?

I can't stand Ben Gordons game. Guy is a chucker and as it's been mentioned he's the type of player that if he hasn't shot the ball in 2-3 possessions he'll huck it up no matter how bad a shot. That really doesn't fit our system, we value every possesion. I will give him credit, when he's on he is flat out an amazing scorer.

Defensively he puts little to no effort out. I would be very disappointed if he's added to our roster.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
I used to be a lot more down on Gordon than I am now. He struck me as a Damon Stoudamire type of player, a style I can't stand. But I think he's actually a pretty good talent. Extremely efficient scorer and not a bad defender if limited to defending point guards (which is what Portland needs). His distributing ability is weak, though. His Assist Rate is quite bad.

Ultimately, I think Bayless can be a similar or better version (similarly adept scorer, better passer, better defender), so I'd much rather snag Sessions who brings tremendous distributing ability, something the team could use for now. But I think Gordon is a good player and wouldn't be a bad addition if Pritchard can't find a better use for the cap space.

The guy's like 5'11, he's quick, and he can really jump.

He only does it a couple of times a season. It sure looks to me like he's been told not to dunk or something, because he was a big time dunker in high school and college.

The guy is a money scorer. 20 point quarters are to be expected on occasion, and he'll get you lots of double digit quarters otherwise. He's capable of putting up 50 points on a few nights a season if he really tried.

He's not a chucker. 16 FGA/game is fewer than Roy shoots (or Chris Paul). About the same as Jason Terry or Rip or LMA.

He certainly can guard PGs and he certainly can score on them.

He's not been given the chance to be a pure PG, but I think he'd be a lot like Baron Davis if given that chance.

The ideal guy to go next to him is a tall SG who can play D and handle the ball. Roy is perfect.
