Following Diego Sanchez's split decision win over Clay Guida last night he declared himself the top contender to the lightweight division title. Behind Kenny Florian, who is the next in line for a title shot?

Whoever loses between Ken-Flo and Penn, IMO, is still the 2nd best fighter in that division.

They still wouldn't get an immediate rematch.

I think Sanchez gets the next shot though, he's got the biggest drawing power out of those guys. A Ken-Flo/Sanchez fight would be a huge draw, and would be an awesome fight.

Well like I said in the TUF finale thread, I believe Gray Maynard deserves to be next in line or at least he deserves a fight with Sanchez to see who is next line.

    I agree.

It is problematic though because Maynard and Penn are friends and I don't know if they are willing to fight.

Anyone read any comments with regards to this?

diego disregarded clay's power (if he has any to speak of) and just went at clay from the start of the bell.. if theres a rematch against k-flo, i honestly cant see how kflo will fair much better than their first meeting..
