that or Phil Knight went there and is marketing through his alma mater that he has given millions to. I could give a rip about the ever changing uni's but I do enjoy seeing other fans getting upset over them. Also, I wonder if this signals that the Beav's football uniforms will get the expected revamp of panties to match their sports bras... a thong line would be perfect! STOMP
I must say I do agree with that. Why other fans get into a hissy fit, or bitch about it is beyond me.
As long as the Ducks continue to recruit well and win 9 or 10+ games a year, I could care less what the unis look like. As long as they don't go with the sports bra/panties look the Beavs trotted out there a couple years ago. -Pop
Biggest mistake ever was giving Nike the contract to handle Beav uniforms -- hope the contract doesn't get renewed because I suspect some Nike stooge is still laughing over that one. Of course, Nike also also gave the Ducks the pretty, pretty angel wings uniforms, so maybe they're just idiots. By the way, I could care less means that you DO care about Duck fashion -- I'm sure you meant to say you couldn't care less.
Beaver bra uni's, Duck diamond plate, and Duck wing/feathers where horrible! Looking forward to seeing what they come up with next.
but why does other schools stuff concern you? Its just amusing how people complain or say its sad how they garner attention.. yet people play into exactly what they want, They are talking about them, they are on people's minds.
Uhm, I don't think the U of O has me in mind when developing and releasing 500+ variations of a uniform. It's for recruiting, so if it works for them, good! They can develop another billion versions of a uniform, I don't care! It's not going to stop U-DUB from taking back what is rightfully theirs - being KING OF THE NW. Two years. Book it. Two years we'll be talking about U-DUB's ascension back to the top two or three in the Pac 10, and Duck fans will be talking about their new foo-foo uni's! GO DAWGS!
Your Beavers don't need to rely on such attention getting gimmicks. They're just a solid program due mostly to the fact that they coach up their players. If I wasn't a DAWG, I'd be a BEAV. They do it right in Corn Valley.
I didnt say you personally.. I was talking about fans of other teams in general. And for your guys sake.. I hope your team gets better.. because this rivalry has been REALLY lame the last decade. Talking trash with you back and forth about our teams would be like bickering with a WSU fan or UCLA fan.
I hear ya on that one. The Ducks have OWNED us for a long time now. Honestly, the Pac 10 really needs Washington to get back to being an elite football school. Had the Ducks actually beaten good Washington teams over the course of the last 10 years or so they probably would have played in at least one National Championship game. The Pac 10 needs to be stronger collectively in order for our schools to get a fair shot at National prominence. Then, the Ducks can play on the big stage and the WHOLE COUNTRY can get a good laugh at their uni's.
I'll agree to all that. and I wasnt calling you out personally on the uni thing, cause I havent seen you throw hissy fits. But there are a lot of people who do, which I find amuzing. You can laugh at the Jersey's lol.. hell I would if I werent a fan, and even as a fan I sometimes have to. The feathers were atrocious.. although I was at that game, and they warmed up in different Jersey's that were green and black, mixed with the Black helmets and Black pants actually looked really cool. But yeah, from a comedy standpoint I laugh at the ducks too lol.
I'm extremely confident that Sarkisian will turn Washington football around in fast order. We already have a top 10 recruiting class for 2010. He's doing something special up there, I just hope they're not cheating (again).
The Beavers new uniforms are also kinda cool. They have sheep on them in compromising positions with football players.
And I'll bet the new Duck uniforms have built in loops and buckles in the pants that make it easier for their players to get their strap-ons attached.
