    Yeah, that's totally possible. A healthy Duncan/Ginobili/Parker/Jefferson is pretty damn nasty.

    True.. but if their cornerstone players are Sessions and Villanueva, along with an injured Redd, and they're going to pay big money to them.. they're still going nowhere. They still won't make the playoffs next season.

    It's just a franchise treading water, and doing nothing to take it to the next level. I guess the only reason I care about it is that the Spurs got an All-Star caliber player for nothing.

    Funny that you should mention SA, rookies, and competing. Didn't SA win a title with a rookie PG? A foreign teenager, no less.

    Yikes! I Knew it would be a good trade for them but to see their lineup typed out in front of me is kinda nasty indeed. In fact, Jefferson may be about the perfect fit for them at the 3 spot. All five of their starters can drop 30 on any given night.

    Interesting trade.

    This makes the Spurs ULTRA-thin up front, getting rid of Oberto and Thomas. If they can't fill in with some defense down-low and rebounding, I'm not sure this helps that THAT much.

    You know the more I think about this, the more it bothers me. Because this means for sure in my mind, that KP blew his opportunity for RJ for RLEC earlier this year. I cannot see any other possibility. Before I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. Not now. Every GM will make mistakes. I just hope this isn't a run of them.

    No, but it helps us get a nice PG prospect which is a bigger need than a 3 with questionable defense.

    Anyone that does not think the Meteor is going to hit earth, leading to human extinction and the rise of the cockroaches as the dominant race.

    R-Jeff is the right answer, potentially, for SAS - he was not the right answer for this team - they needed additional scoring - we do not need it as much and definitely not if we expect Oden to become that 3rd reliable scorer. My gut feeling is that they went for him because Manu might not be ready for a bit of time...

    The rumors were that they wanted Batum and were unwilling to let go of Sessions for R-Jeff - if these rumors are right - KP did the right thing by not trading for him.

    I'm sure they can find replacements for Oberto and Thomas.. Those two were pretty terrible last season. I might even take Shavlik over Oberto.

    is probably the money quote. Milwaukee is going nowhere, so here's a chance to get their lottery pick some PT.

    This could be double pleasure for SA, since those players will probably be renounced, SA can just pick them up again.

    Yes but there is a difference between "No Where" and "Rock Bottom". One is a scenario they have been in for years, and still have got fans to go to the game. The other is a situation where nobody shows up, and you are a small market team on the bottom looking to try and get out. Not good.
