Rondo is a young point guard. If McMillan is good for anything, it's molding young talent. There's a reason why they call him Sarge. Any concern over Rondo's attitude should be forgotten. I think McMillan would be a much better coach for Rondo than Doc Rivers. Rivers is more of a players coach, which is better suited for veterans. I really think we should try to make a deal to bring Rondo in. If the Celts are trying to inject some more juice into their roster to make another run, we can help them. I'm not sure if they're trying to dump salary by including Ray Allen, or if he was actually added because they think he's a viable asset.
**Hears Thrilla44 running to this thread with bad intentions.... But I agree. Rondo would be the icing on the cake but I highly doubt Boston deals him.
Well, I'm not saying we should rip them off. It would have to be a fair deal for both teams. I wonder if a combination of Bayless/Rudy/Outlaw/Webster/or Joel would get it done? Like... Bayless/Outlaw/Joel for Rondo/Moore/Scalabrine?
I really think Rondo would be perfect on our team. He already knows how to put up numbers with three other stars in the lineup.
True. He's young but already has a lot of experience. They asked for Stucky/Prince for Rondo. I really don't count Ray Allen as he's way over the hill and on the fast decline, Boston wants a lot in return for Rondo. Rondo Roy Batum Aldridge Oden It's nice to dream
I think he would be a good fit, but a few things keep him from being perfect: - Can't shoot the 3 ball - Needs to ball in his hands to be effective - Quesitonable attitube I'd still give up a lot to get him!
Doesn't Rondo like to push the ball? Doesn't he still make mistakes trying to create? That doesn't sound like a Nate McMIllan PG to me.
I actually think Doc Rivers has done wonders with Rondo. It's his attitude you can't coach out of him.
I can think of 29 coaches who would be a better choice to develop a PG. Nate has yet to develop even 1.
You have no chance at getting him. He's the only point guard we have and we would need at least an adequate one in return. He would be a great fit on the Blazers, though. I agree.
