Are the ducks wearing Orange and Black? or Crimson and Gray? or Purple and Gold? If not.. I'm not sure what the hell your point is.
...I am not getting into a program debate, I am simply saying that fans outside of Oregon consistently confuse the two schools.
fair enough.. we can agree to disagree then. From my experiences in New York, Boston, Texas, Colorado etc in those areas.. they havent gotten them mixed up.
No, that ain't it either. The point was fine -- other forces are at work that make it no longer worth it.
Bad analogy, considering Missouri State play in the same division that Portland State, Stephen F. Austin, New Hampshire, etc. play in, and Missouri plays in the Big 12. -Pop
This gray/silver with Chrome Helmet looks flat out BADASS. Say what you want about the feathers, neutral colors, unlimited jersey combo's, etc because it honestly doesn't matter that much. I'm not sure how many people here are college age or relate to college students, but I can promise you that the majority of college age football players view this as a draw to come to the University of Oregon. And they do look sick, particularly to the college age person.
Damn straight. The second video I know is hard to tell who it is. It looks like Penn State (white) versus Oregon State (black). -Pop
You may have as many players as you want who are drawn by a team's uniforms....if that's their calling in life, to be drawn to uniforms, then, I guess, more power to them. You made the front page of Yahoo (or at least one of the top news stories)...
so if a higher rated college player is drawn to your uniforms as something cool... you dont want him?
top of the page on yahoo's main page on 6/23 it's just marketing http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/footba...ason-is-here-again-in-Oregon?urn=ncaaf,172251 STOMP
I still cringe TO THIS DAY every time I see that hit TJ Ward put on OkSt's Quarterback. Just NASTY...one of the biggest hits I've ever seen, collegiate or pro. Then he popped back up, but didn't play as well for the rest of the game. I'm really glad TJ is back one more year, hopefully there's more sweet hits to come Anyway, back on topic. As a Duck, I don't really care much about the uniforms...some of them look good, some of them look like crap. Again I couldn't care less.
That's somewhat right. A player who is drawn to uniforms and Nintendos in locker rooms might not have his head in the game. Of all the things a player SHOULD be thinking of when he signs a letter of intent (eg coaching staff, history, success in the pros, team atmosphere, god forbid academics, etc.), uniforms are way down on the list and should be pure fluff. I would, in fact, rather have a lower ranked smash mouth style player who has a chip on his shoulder and has something to prove than a player who goes to UO primarily because they want to wear a particularly colored or winged outfit. To be clear, not all Duck players are drawn to UO because of the uniforms. They consider other things on that list that are more important and make a decision for the right reasons (even if going to UO really should ALWAYS be considered a huge mistake -- KIDDING, well kind of). If a player picks UO based primarily on UO outfits, then yeah, they probably are a headcase worth avoiding.
