I disagree. You might not have watched their matches vs. Italy and Brazil, but the US side looked HORRIBLE. Looked like a team that idn't even belong on the world stage. The turnaround, including the Egypt game.... unbelievable.
I watched them all. I just don't see Spain as being at the level of the USSR hockey team in 1980, and this isn't even the World Cup, while the 1980 game was in the Olympics. That said, a great (and surprising) result. Best US win I have ever seen on the pitch, period.
