How the hell was that a red card? The tackle was straight on and he was going for the ball. Can that be reviewed at a later date?

This, to me, is one-half step below the US Hockey Team beating the Russians in 1980.

For those of us just following the game updates online, what happened on the red card call?

The US can protest it to have it reversed after the match, which would allow Bradley to play in the final if we make it past Spain. Otherwise, he's suspended for the next match in this tournament.

That has to be one of the worst calls I've ever seen, considering the situation.

It's 5 steps below making a WC Final. This isn't even close to the 1980 USA/USSR team for me.

We HAVE to be able to hold a two goal lead with three minutes of stoppage time.

I disagree. You might not have watched their matches vs. Italy and Brazil, but the US side looked HORRIBLE. Looked like a team that idn't even belong on the world stage.

The turnaround, including the Egypt game.... unbelievable.

Tim Howard was a beast today, he was under attack in the second half but made great decisions.

It looks like the US won. The entire country of Spain is going to be bummed.

I watched them all. I just don't see Spain as being at the level of the USSR hockey team in 1980, and this isn't even the World Cup, while the 1980 game was in the Olympics.

That said, a great (and surprising) result. Best US win I have ever seen on the pitch, period.
