Re: What is Steve Nash's legacy if he wins his 2nd MVP? What do you think? It brings up some interesting questions. Is he one of the best ever, and if not why is he winning MVP's when there are plently of HOF type players getting passed up for MVP's (Kobe, KG, TD)....Does he make the HOF because of the last 2 seasons?
Re: What is Steve Nash's legacy if he wins his 2nd MVP? I think so because he is an offensive juggernaut though the other players mentioned have better overall games. Rebounding and Defense. Nash in the last 6 years has made all his teams the top in the league in scoring so that is amazing stuff.
Re: What is Steve Nash's legacy if he wins his 2nd MVP? But his teams have done nothing in the playoffs and he has not put up great numbers until last season. Before going to the Suns he averaged 7apg.
Re: What is Steve Nash's legacy if he wins his 2nd MVP? i think he could end up being one of the best OFFENSIVE pg's of all time. He won't be up to stockton's level all-around.
Re: What is Steve Nash's legacy if he wins his 2nd MVP? If he wins MVP again this year and has about 3 or 4 solid seasons like he is having now then yes, he will be a HOFer. Actually if anyone wins MVP twice, they are usually destined to get into the Hall.

(obviously because of his assist average..)but yea. i want him to actually do something in the playoffs.
Re: What is Steve Nash's legacy if he wins his 2nd MVP? Comeon, you know he meant HOF, instead of MVP at the end of it.Anyway, I don't think he is a shoe in, especially over Kobe, Shaq, TD, KG, AI, etc. Kidd will make it, but do you think that Nash is more popular than Paul Pierce, Dirk Nowitzki, Baron Davis, Elton Brand, etc??Its just one big popularity contest.
Re: What is Steve Nash's legacy if he wins his 2nd MVP? I'm not trying to end this discussion or anything, but you guys do know that winning the MVP automatically puts you in the HOF, right? So the question about whether Nash will be in the HOF shouldn't even be asked. Right now it is a question of whether he'll be a first-ballot HOF'er, a second-ballot, or third, etc.
Re: What is Steve Nash's legacy if he wins his 2nd MVP? Are you sure? Because the top 4 best players in the league always won it back in the day, now even Chauncey Billups is being considered.
Re: What is Steve Nash's legacy if he wins his 2nd MVP? I think that Nash's legacy will be tarnished with out a ring or two to put on his fingers. People might remember him to play great, and on great teams, but to never win a championship.

But this dude deserves better. Great all-around player, can play literally any position, great ball-handling to play PG, can overpower his oppenents at SG, SF is where he plays best, has the strength and bulk to play PF, maybe not C, but he would definitely cause a matchup problem because of his quickness. Pierce has tried to make his teamates better but they aint responding. He will get in, but he is definitely not any more popular than Nash, who has completely turned around the Phoenix franchise. We didnt even know about Boris Diaw until now.- Nowitzki is one of the candidates for MVP talk, but how can he get MVP, when his team does great in the regular season, but they dont get that far in the playoffs. He will get in as well, for his stellar career and inspiration for young european players. - Davis?? DAVIS?? Thats a bit out of the question. Turnover machine, injury prone...you honestly think this guy is more popular than NASH?- Brand isnt the reason the Clippers have changed. Its Cassell.

Re: What is Steve Nash's legacy if he wins his 2nd MVP? I find it quite disturbing that Jason kidd, the superior player has won 0 mvps and Steve nash who only emerged into a great player last season is having a chance for a repeat.
Re: What is Steve Nash's legacy if he wins his 2nd MVP? Maybe because Jason Kidd can't shoot and there were better MVP candidates at the time.
Re: What is Steve Nash's legacy if he wins his 2nd MVP? He will be known as one of the greatest playmakers of all-time but will probably be overshadowed by superstars like Kobe. Plus, he needs to win a title to get the recognition he deserves.

That is the disturbing part.

The only Kidd was effective was on the fast break. He still is good at that but shooting would help him surpass Nash. Yes Kidd has outplayed Nash the last meeting and all but Nash has had the better year.
