    That's if LO comes back.

If we can retain our free agents, I'm not worried. If not, then yes the competition will be much tougher, and the Spurs with a healthy Manu Ginobli and another scoring threat in RJ can compete with us any day of the week.

This could be a blessing in disguise though, maybe puts more pressure on Buss to get our players back. That would be ideal.

There's so many rumors floating around with big name players I think the Lakers well be patient and use a wait-and-see approach before they commit to any deals. This draft doesn't have many exciting players coming out, but the amount of blockbuster deals that could go down on draft night will more than make up for it.

Rondo had attitude issues his rookie year. Ever since then, all we've heard from Ainge and Rivers is how quickly he has grown into a leader.

Would you have made the deal from Boston's POV?

at first the whole spurs thing looks a bit scary, but you have to remember the spurs had pretty much the same team a few seasons ago when they had to work to beat a lakers consisting of smush as our starting point gaurd! odom was our second best player! and they had to work to beat us! spurs are no longer a threat, they are all getting older, slower, less able, plus pop is loosing his touch. manu is not a threat, and i dont beleive he ever has been, he relies on duncan being doubled, he doesnt even have parker's transition game, and the lakers have too much size for the spurs to handle, plus didnt they get ousted in the first round? what on earth is manu and richard jefferson (dont get me started on this guy, fuck, talk about overrated and overpaid) going to do? those two only rely on other players, they dont lift teams and improve them, just look at why the bucks traded RJ, he didnt make them better, he made them worse!

They traded RJ because they need to make room for Joe Alexander to play and to have cap space to resign Charlie Villanueva & Ramon Sessions. RJ struggled after Michael Redd went down with an injury because he's not capable of being the number one scoring option every night. In San Antonio he should be very effective as the 3rd or 4th scoring option on the team. He's multi tool player and gives the Spurs the athletic wing player they've been missing. His personality fits in with the team and he gives the Spurs an option to play big or small.

I agree the Spurs need another big body. Either they acquire a veteran big man in the offseason, make another small trade or they see what Ian Mahinmi can give them.

There’s no chance Bowen returns to the Spurs if the Bucks buy him out as well. His relationship with Gregg Popovich deteriorated with his dwindling role a year ago, and that partnership is over.

Would you want Bruce Bowen for vet minimum?

    For the vet minimum, yes.

Right now anyone is better than Sasha, sometimes Luke needs a little break.

I wonder how Bowen feels about PJax after PJax called him Edward Scissorhands. LOL. At least Bowen would give Kobe a rest on defense for a solid 8 to 12 MPG.

Naw. I'm not a Bowen fan. Terrible at the FT line, lost a step on D.

Let him go. Luke > Bowen.

Fuck, I'd rather have Sasha out there.

Bowen was much better than Sasha at the end of the season.

We're not going to carry that many players anyway. Especially considering the draft and other slight acquisitions.

If we don't make moves, we have to stay status quo at least. Teams close to us are trying to distance themselves by trades. At the very least we gotta resign LO/Trev/SB.

If you're Orlando would you rather have Vince or Hedo? I don't think they can afford both. If they can than it's a nice counter move.

I heard they're resigning Hedo? Who knows?

    pg: Nelson
    sg: Carter
    sf: Hedo
    pf: Lewis
    c: Dwight

That's potentially the best starting 5 in the league. If they can keep Gortat as well they will be deadly.

That's like 5 all-stars. Scary as hell. I have a feeling Lakers are not going to make big moves this summer, but at least i think they're gonna resign our dudes. But what the hell do i know, Mitch is so unpredicteble.

If they pull the trigger on that deal, I'm going to assume that they expect to lose Hedo.

I'm not sure they can afford both Carter and Hedo. Vince has a huge contract.

According to hoopsworld, the trade is a go.

    Carter a Magic.

Boston is now the 3rd team in the East, IMO. Wow. I didn't expect these many deals. The Lakers need to do some stuff, get back their big 3 FA's, and look to sign someone with the MLE. Repeating next year just got so much harder.

If the Magic can find a way to keep Hedo, which I doubt, I'll be fucking shocked. If that happens, they've got to be the favorites next year.

Yeah the Magic are still better than the Cavs, even with losing Hedo.

To repeat Bynum has to man the hell up, and avoid those unlucky injuries. ;]
