Interesting. It seems like we've been linked to Maynor for a while now I believe, but less talk about him lately. I thought he was kind of an early favorite to be our pick.

you are correct.. but its also valid to point out that not a peep has been mentioned in rumors about Maynor. He could be someone to replace Bayless if the Right deal came along that needed to include Bayless.
Meh ... Bayless went 11th last year and would easily be top 8 this year if he stayed another year in college. Why would we use the 22nd pick to replace him? Not to mention it would be a guy with less NBA experience and no integration into our team/chemistry. Seems silly. If we want a Bayless replacement, it should come from a proven NBA guy or a consensus top 5 pick. Not from the 22nd pick. -Pop

Do you truly disdain Maynor due to the fact that we might draft him at 22? Why replace Bayless with a lowly 22nd pick? Perhaps because there are concerns about Bayless' ability to become a good PG? He had chances. I'm not saying Maynor will be better than Bayless but I'm by no means sold on Bayless, especially the Bayless PG experiment. If we can trade him and get some value, we do it. The assertion that Bayless would easily be top 8 if he'd stayed in school is a red-herring. The fact is he didn't stay in school and based on his performance last season, I don't think he has anywhere near #8 value when it comes to trading. A commodity that has been, at least to a degree tested at the NBA level and found lacking always has much less value that a commodity that has "potential" and hasn't been tested. Gramps...
