So who do the Bulls actually draft with the #16 pick? For purposes of this post, I mean who do we pick first. If you think we trade up or trade down with the purpose of targeting one of these guys, that's ok too.

My take: when push comes to shove, I think the Bulls take Gerald Henderson, because despite the manner in which we've discussed it here, the Bulls are planning for Gordon to play somewhere else. With Henderson's selection, that will become even more of a fait accompli. I've seen various rumors that he's their target (Givony at DX) and they are, in fact, willing to move up to get him (Ford).

Same thoughts with T. Williams. I like him, but I wouldn't move up to get him.

Suffice to say I wouldn't move up to get him, but I do believe the Bulls will draft him based on the fact it will seal a non-deal with Gordon, and the fact that he seems to be exactly the sort of prospect they typically take. Solid but not great athleticism, good knowledge of the game, not a great shooter, from a big college program. He's the quintessential safe pick in a draft full of questions.

I agree with you I like Henderson, we like players from big programs, with a Dukie and a couple of Tarheels in this draft I would be very surprised if the Bulls don't draft at least draft one of them before the end of the night.

Nets take T. Will... so is it for the Bulls or for themselves?

He makes sense for them somewhat, I spose.

I would not be surprised at all if it is for the Bulls, why would the Nets have discussions with the Bulls about trading the 11th pick to them (so the Bulls could take T Will reportedly) if he was the Nets main target?

So much for the G. Henderson theory, with Williams and Henderson gone, I guess the most likely bet becomes Mulliens.

Well, they go 11 and 12 and no evidence of a trade yet. They both make sense for the teams they went to, so i figure there won't be one.

    I'm mildly relieved.

So we're looking at Hansbrough or Blair. Blair seems obviously good but festooned in red flags. Hansbrough seems obviously average.

The crazy pick... Ty Lawson... could be a star. Bet the Pacers take him next at 13 though.

No big surprises so far except Twolves taking 2 pgs. WTF? Curry seemed like a much better fit with Rubio.

I think OK makes the right move for Harden.

I don't mind Williams and Henderson going before us. I'm like Tyler and Blair better and lets me keep the dream alive of resigning BG.

    Ben GOrdon's replacement.

I know the Bulls would have taken Hansbrough, too.

What the shit... Pacers take Hansbrough, who they have no obvious need for at all.

Considering there record last year, excluding Granger, everything in Indiana is in need of a serious overhaul, imo. Hansbrough off the board is OK with me, one less temptation for the Bulls who surely would have taken him if presented the opportunity.

LOL, Brandon Jennings saunters out late and ignores David Stern to mug for the cameras.

This is the dessert after the main course of Stern announcing him as being from Compton, California

You know that Bill Simmons is going to have that as a focus in his draft writeup. :devilwink:

Murphy is like a rich man's Hansbrough.

I mean, I don't dislike Hansbrough, but he's got solid but unspectacular written all over him. Which is pretty much what Murphy is. And Jeff Foster. And Roy Hibbert if they're lucky.

And Granger and Dunleavy who occasionally man the four.

So basically, they've got lots of options there, and lots of similar options there. On the other hand, I think Lawson would be an obvious starter for them.

Even Blair would have made some sense for them, since he at least gives them a different look.

He better also point out the nice hightop afro Jennings was sporting on a couple of highlight videos. I don't think that was born when that was cool the first time.
