Seems like teams would rather take projects at the end of the first.. and wait to get the fringe late first-round guys in the second.
So pissed off right now..i like Pendergraph, but not when DeJaun Blair was available, total brain fart on his part..and we just gave away draft picks to take a dude who would be available in the 2nd round..if we dont do anything in free agency or make a lopsided trade, he needs to be on the hot seat
IF Blair's knees are in terrible shape and/or teams don't believe he has a commitment to conditioning (neither of which I am claiming is true, but possible factors I can envision for his long fall down the draft), then he's probably a reasonable gamble in the mid-second round, but probably no more so than a typical mid-second rounder. Blair may have more ability than the average mid-second rounder, but if he's expected to miss lots of time, then that cancels out the talent disparity.
So you think if we DO NOTHING with the last cap space we'll have in the Roy era, he should not be scruntinzed?
