The NBA is one of many worldwide leagues. They have no special rights to any player period.

I wonder if Golden State did a classic Pritchslap on Minnesota and New York. If Curry fell to NY, then he could've been included in a package for Rubio and Minny might have considered it (although their backcourt would still be tiny). But they don't need Jordan Hill.
