Even if we do slow down, we're going to catch right back up. Jim Leyland isn't going to let them slack off. We are pretty deep too, so that's a plus. Nook Logan still hasn't played a game yet this year.

He's pretty sweet. Chris Shelton needs to get out of his slump though.
How about a sweep of the Indians. We improve to 24-13 and have looked red hot over the past few games. Are pitching has been outstanding giving up the least amount of runs in the AL.
Our bullpen is the difference. I think we have the best pen in the league, and one of the deepest hitting teams too. We can make the postseason this year.
Tigers on a 7 game win streak. They have looked great on both hitting and pitching aspects of the game. They're giving the White Sox a run for their money in the A.L Central.
The Tigers lose there first game in the last 7. 9-4 to the Cinncinati Reds. They had to lose sometime and the Reds are a godd team this year so I'm ok with the loss.
Today with the 1-0 win against the Reds and the 7-6 win last night we've shown that we can pull out the close games.
We now have the best record in all of baseball! At 30-14 we lead our division by a game over the second best team the White Sox. Our pitching has been flawless and the support with are dynamic hitting probably helps so the pitchers don't have to come from behind. World Series baby!
we are the best in the MLB again after yesterdays win. our pitching is doing it for us and as soon as Percival, Young come back. its on! oh wait it already is...GO TIGERS!!! :bat:
The Tigers are doing very well, 1st place. I think it helps that we don't have a lot of injuries to our main guys, basically just Young. That Verlander is doing good. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Well, at least he wouldn't get a no-hitter although he had that kind of stuff, reaching 99 mph when he wanted to, all night long."I've never had a starting pitcher throw 99 [mph] in the ninth inning that I recall," Tigers manager Jim Leyland said.</div><span style="font-size:8pt;line-height:100%">mlb.com</span>
Three game losing streak. Ah. Get it together Tigers. We almost came back on the Yankees but then allowing 5 runs in the 11th isn't going to cut it. I'm not worried but I want the first seed in the playoffs, and losing 3 straight isn't going to get us there.
Leyland is amazing he turns the 97 Marlins into Champs and could possibly do the same thing with the Tigers
Tough loss for the Tigers last night. My favorite Jew Kevin Youkilis hits a 2 out 2 run homer off of Todd Jones to put the sox ahead 3-2 in the top of the 9th, and Jon Papelbon comes in to close it.BTW, the RoTY race this year is going to be ill. Between Verlander and Papelbon its going to be close. I'd give the edge to Papelbon right now, as he is 20-20 in saves and has allowed ONLY one run, and ONLY 17 baserunners in the 28 innings he's pitched. But I believe at the end of the year Verlander will be right there. He's the real deal, and will be a solid starter for the Tigers for years.
8 home runs today for the Tigers. That ties for the club record. The offense has caught up to the pitching now, and I think that equals the potential for one nasty baseball team.I think we have two young pitchers that in the future could be all stars. Verlander and Zumaya are two young studs, and the I love how the Tigers have built their farm system with these great young guys, this teams future is bright.Heres to the World Series.
Ivan Rodriguez with the walk off home run today and it was the second night in a row the Tigers came back against the Indians in late inning dramatic fashon. I love the way they are playing these days and can't wait for the playoffs.
Everyone, including me, thought the Tigers would drop off at one point and be snapped back to reality. Well, the reality is, they are a legit title contender and shouldn't be taken lightly any more. Go Leyland, our biggest off-season acquisition besides Rogers.
