I was reading that Charlie V was talking about playing for Cleveland a few weeks ago on the radio. He openly said he'd play for them if they offered the MLE. God fucking damn it. Fuck this off-season. I can't remember an off-season where championship contenders made so many UPGRADES to become even stronger contenders.
With all these upgrades, I don't think the Lakers' can stand still. They've got to get Odom, Ariza, and Brown back. No exceptions. They need Bynum to man up. They need to offer their MLE to Kidd.
Need to offer Kidd? Bynum just needs to man up and we'll be fine, imo. Let the East kill themselves over there, and let's see if Charlie can play D.
If the Cavs get Charlie, they'll be fucking scary. Mo, LeBron, Charlie, and Shaq? That is scary. The Magic if they can afford Hedo? Scary. Kidd has had some interest in the Lakers, is good friends with Kobe. He is still a damn good PG, better than any on this roster, if we can convince him to sign for the chance at a ring...we need to.

Charlie V is good offensively. Defensively, I don't really know. But Cleveland was one of the better defensive teams this year, right? Plus, its not like the Lakers' defense was mind blowing.
I'm starting to get pissed off hearing about all these moves. At the very least we gotta retain our free agents. Don't fail us Jerry. Take a hit now, next year you got practically 15 million coming off the books (AMMO, Derek, Hogshit).
He can take the hit, he has the money. I'm just astounded by how many contenders are getting even better this offseason. Lakers should throw their MLE out there to Charlie, Kidd, and whoever the fuck else is out there.
Btw, Hedo's not coming back to Orlando, Mamba. Their GM flat out said that the reason they traded for VC is because they couldn't come to an agreement with Hedo. Furthermore, I don't think the Magic owner has ever payed much luxury tax. I'm really wondering if trading for VC actually makes them better, or if he's just another "big name" player. He's not the same guy he once was, and having Hedo at SF creates huge matchup problems for opposing teams. I don't see that with VC. I'm only worried about Orlando because Nelson's coming back.
Okay, I never saw for sure that Hedo was gone. If that is the case, Orlando is no better than before IMO. I'm not worried about them. Carter for Hedo? Makes them less versatile and smaller. I'll take it. Plus they lost Lee? Fine with me. Yeah, they'll get Jameer back but whatever. I'd still take us over them.
Honestly I don't care if we "lose" profits this season though, I want Jerry to sign us another point guard. We have a bunch of money coming off next year. And we can package Sasha after this season. I want to see more get done around here.
