Bwahahahaha http://www.philly.com/inquirer/sports/20090630_Andre_Miller_is_76ers__No__1_concern.html?viewAll=y So cross him off of our list. The more things I read and hear, the more I think we will be looking at either a sign and trade, a lopsidied trade or a really underwhelming signing that won't make up for the trade deadline failure.
This is the problem with free agents. They can always find a loser team to give them too much money. We need one who;s willing to take a reasonable amount of money to play with an up & coming team that offers a great city to live in and an equally good team to play with.
But you're in Houston. I once drove around Houston for three hours trying to find the cool part of town and came up with squat.
What free agents want and what free agents get are almost never the same thing. It would be dumb for Miller to say he'd be happy making less, because it hurts his bargaining position. I'm sure he'll end up signing for less than that.
