I saw Korver decided to stay too. They are going to have no money to keep Milsap.

There is a part of me that is beginning to see Boozer as a Zach Randolph-esque player who happens to play on a good team. He may even be worse on defense than Zach is, but I'm not quite sold on that yet.

There will be even less of a market for him next year. This really screws up Utah's ability to re-sign Millsap because I don't think they can afford to get into a bidding war with the Thunder.

WTF? Yeah, Boozer's not a top 5, or even top 10 PF in the league... but let's not get it twisted. Carlos is a far superior defender and passer. Their scoring and rebounding are somewhat similar, but overall, there's not one GM who would rather have Randolph given the choice.

Tough call for Utah. Depends on what offer they have to match, I guess. It's not worth it for Portland to go after him, though.

Huh? I am no Boozer fan, but you really think he isn't a top 10 PF in the league? So there are more then 10 other PF that should have been on the Olympic team other then him?

lol wow. I bet you think that Sergio is good too.

How do you figure theer is less of a market next year? There are a lot of teams with cap plans for next season. About 4 teams this offseason.

Boozer isn't a "far superior defender", he's a borderline inadequate defender (Millsap played LMA tougher this season when Boozer was out, for Pete's sake), and he and Randolph both average 2.1 assists last season.

Being compared to Zach Randolph isn't really a bad thing.

Guys I'd play at PF ahead of Boozer:

Duncan, Nowitzki, KG, Bosh, Gasol, Amare, Jefferson, Aldridge, West, Jamison.

    It's arguable that he's a top 10 PF.

10 PFs better than Carlos Boozer

    Tim Duncan
    Dirk Nowitzki
    Kevin Garnett
    Chris Bosh
    LaMarcus Aldridge
    Pau Gasol
    David Lee
    Elton Brand
    Al Jefferson
    Paul Millsap
    Amare Stoudemire
    David West
    Antwan Jamison
    Luis Scola

    That was easy

In order of who I'd like on my team right now over Boozer at the 4 spot:

    1. Tim Duncan
    2. Kevin Garnett
    3. Paul Gasol
    4. Amare Stoudemire
    5. Dirk Nowitzki
    6. Chris Bosh
    7. David West
    8. Lamarcus Aldridge
    9. Al Jefferson

After this, it's probably Boozer, so you're right, he probably is top 10. But not by much, and definitely nowhere near being among the truly elite. He got absolutely abused in the playoffs by Gasol.

He'll be a year older and there is going to be a long list of quality free agents he'll be competing with. The salary cap could also drop or remain flat again if the economy doesn't pick up.

Dwayne Wade (owed 17.0 million in 10/11)
Chris Bosh (owed 17.1 million in 10/11)

Wait why is it not worth it to make a good offer to Millsap? He would be ideal as a back up PF and possibly give us the luxury to include Joel in a trade swinging LMA to the 5 for spot minutes with Oden off the floor. Also it would hose Utah.

If the Thunder sign Millsap they might be looking at the playoffs THIS YEAR.

    PG: Westbrook
    SG: Harden
    SF: Durant
    PF: Millsap
    C: Garbage.

Other then the C spot they would look pretty damn solid 1 thru 4. You could even go small ball and play KD at the 4, Green at the 3 and Millsap at the C if you wanted to go all Nellie on that ass.

Millsap won't sign here. Why would he? He thinks he deserves starter minutes and he does! We can't give him that here.
