Seeing as tomorrow's the first its already too late in the day to move them right? Blake's and Outlaws ability to be used as trade/cap dump space is over no? Cap-ologist I am not!
The Spurs are the best organization in terms of realizing talent and potential, and also on making smart-ass trades. Not necessarily blockbuster ones.
Hm. It's 645pm in New York. I think we would have heard by now if our boys were leaving town in a salary dump.
Wouldn't we also hear that the Blazers excercised their team options on Blake and Outlaw? What time does that have to be done by today(even though we know they will).
We don't have to exercise a team option because there isn't one. They have a non-guaranteed contract, so they can be cut at anytime between now and 9PM tonight (I believe). If we do nothing, they remain under contract with us for next season.
As we've discussed ad nauseum in other threads, Blake and Outlaw both have value around the league. As such, it makes more sense to keep them for purposes of making lop sided trades than it does to cut them.
