The guy votes for the stimulus package and it's a moment of silence for Michael Jackson that sickens him?
Honestly, who cares one way or the other on this? I get what he's saying about how it's not appropriate to honor a celebrity during a legislative session, but it's literally A MOMENT. Get over yourselves, and get back to work doing what you're elected and paid to do. The amount of time this dude spent complaining about the MOMENT of silence probably took easily 25 times as much productivity as the moment of silence itself. I wish our elected leaders would quit the posturing and political grandstanding and just WORK. That goes for members of all political parties.
Yah, because the stimulus package is worse than a child molester dying and getting a moment of silence.
I don't have any problem with a debate and/or criticism of a moment of silence for a dead person... it's a very symbolic gesture and I think if the government is going to make it then those who disagree (and their representatives) should have their say, too. Ed O.
Sad some people are so desperate for attention that they are willing to waste our tax dollars debating non-issues. BTW, whose picture is that, 'cause it's NOT John Yarmuth? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Yarmuth
